I don't make enough for a new 2500HD. But can afford a 1500/2500HD a few years older. We've had this truck for 13 years. I'm bored of it.

That being said, I'm more than willing to put up with it for now, save up some money, hopefully land a decent job after college, then buy a new truck.

By the way, I find it amusing that you won't "settle for a V6" but you will settle for an '05-'08 Mustang GT.

I would settle for TPI Iroc vs a 2011 v6 to be honest. There is nothing wrong with the mustang. Our old 06 ran 13.2 with just gears. The aftermarket part world is endless which is what I'm after. I'm not into modding v6 cars when theirs a higher power out there. Nothing against the v6 camaro or there owners. You have your reasons why you got yours and I have my reasons Why I prefer a v8. And I don't wanna hang on to my 4th gen for 5years until I can afford a SS. They are way to much money. And insurance is not a problem for me. For full cov. I pay 60 a month on my 98 z28. I'm sure it wont be much higer on a GT with my clean driving record for 5years

It's looks like the OP doesn't actually want any of our opinions. if he is 'bored of' his current Camaro, I doubt a new one would satisfy him. I'm sure a Mustang won't. It's obvious he is young. Getting rid of a car because you're 'bored of it' isn't much of a reason at all-- who gets bored with a Camaro? And why financially burden yourself with getting another car? If you don't make enough to get the SS, do you really make enough to afford a new car when you have one now? does the current Camaro have any issues that warrant a trade-in besides your 'boredom'?

Anyway, good luck, OP.
152k. Car leaks oil, Ses light is on for a few problems. I have to keep fixing windows and wiper motors. My turn signal always dies out for some reason. Its becoming a big headache. I just want a proper working car. I put lots of money into this car yet things still brake.

I was just about to suggest that...... GTO's are very quick (just as fast as a SS) and more comfortable inside than any of the other options..... and they're cheaper than a base LS too

I'd try to find an 06 GTO if you still want a V8 but price is the thing.

I was 21 when I bought my SS.. See a few different banks for loans, some will, some won't

Agreed. I wanted a v8 badly, but I knew that with finishing my second degree and where I am in my life right now... it wasn't a smart idea to spend the extra $10-12k for an SS. The v6 Camaro is still a respectable car. Before you say never, maybe try test driving one. There are a lot of affordable mods that can be done to add some HP.

Besides, for a Mustang GT in those years, you're looking at 300HP, which is less than the Gen5 v6 Camaros. So if HP is your desire, really you're going to get more stock with the Camaro. Also-- if you're financing, you have to consider that the warranty is going to be up on that Mustang MUCH sooner than the new v6 Camaro. Some people don't want to make payments on a car that they don't have under warranty.

Ultimately, it's up to you, but even as a former mustang owner, I can say I wouldn't go with the mustang. I love my Camaro and I'm VERY happy with it!

Depending on what kind of car you want, theres a lot out there for $16k, the price of that RUSTang!

2002-2006 M3's are a good bang for your buck
2004 A4s

I picked up an 2001 z06 vette for $15.5k with 60k miles on it in good condition.
If you're worried about gas you can always get a base vetter (c5 body) for around that price too.

Just depends what you want!

The GTO Is a good suggestion but Im not a fan of there looks. I just cant buy a v6 camaro. I really just cant. I would just hate life and kick myself everyday over it. I rather have the 300hp stang then a 300hp v6. There is just more respect behind the v8 to. When people ask me I much rather say it has a 8 then a 6. 99% Of people would respect a v8 no matter what year over a v6 regardless of how much power the v6 has. + I need v8 sound. I cant stand the sound of a 6. I will prob just get the stang gear it and tune it and shoot for high 12s and be done.
