Tebow is being hailed as one of the 3 best players in college football history.
By who?

Kevin Smith > Culpepper
That could be argued but the conensus is that Culpepper was better. He went much higher in the draft than Smith, came back for his senior year, had a larger impact on the team, and did much more to put our program on the map than Smith.

You obviously have a short term memory and have a bias toward more recent events.

Concensus with who? Smith was the better player. But both were highly over rated, lack of competition will do that to you.

Stafford is going to go higher in the draft than Tebow, which was the better college QB?

Different style offense.

Spurrier was one of the best CFB coaches in the league for many years, didnt do it in the NFL. Different styles. Has little to do with being an all time great college player/coach.

Rich Eisen, Mel Kiper, JOHN MADDEN, Ron Jowarski, Mike Golic, John Gruden, Chris Collinsworth, Mike Schlereth, STEVE YOUNG, ...... and those are off the top of my head. I've had this discusion before.

Wether you want to beleive it or not, Tebow would have gone pro if the interest was there. He said it himself. He talked about the good stuff he could do with an NFL payday. He's a good college player and an even better person. He's just not transferable to Sunday.
