1 vs. 3

winners play winners. Adds one more game, doesnt take away from the regular season.
ALL of the conferences need to have a seat at the table and get an equal share of the money.

Let's not kid ourselves, it's about money. The BCS auto-bid conferences get massive sums of money from the BCS whereas the rest get scraps. If they don't intend on making it equal, why are the other schools allowed in 1-A?

Tebow? Really? For fullback maybe or a TE, but not under center.

Hey ive watched every game hes ever played, and people dont think he can play QB? I think they are nuts. This kid has got a CANON, id love him on my team. Hes not the most accurate QB in the world but hes far from the least accurate. Tebow is a warrior who refuses to loose.

Somehow, in spite of this, CFB is still much better than Pro. Although I would like to see the colleges adopt a more pro-like post season.

I used to think this, he would make a decent tight end. Or maybe OLB. But part of me thinks he might actually be able to make it as a QB if the team was willing to think outside the box and use his skill set to their advantage. It would require a desperate team. But then again, a desperate team wouldn't be able to surround him with the playmakers he needs to make it work. They could also use him like he was used his frosh yr at UF coming in during specific situations while Leak still ran the show. I don't think he would be very good in a normal pro set. It would take something different for sure.

This is one of the reasons why he's not high on many teams QB list. Teams want a QB they can build around for a while. What good is a high draft QB if he's hobbled and injured a lot. At any given moment Tebow has played against 3 or 4 NFL calibre defenders. Most of the time 1 or none. In the NFL you play against ELEVEN NFL calibre defenders. Name a QB with a long career as a 'bruiser' in the middle of the feild?

Let's just say you CAN name one. Odds are highly against it.

Only because there's a college team in every town. JMO. Don't get me wrong, I love college football. But if I had to choose, I'd take the pros.

Kinda works in conjunction to what I said above.

Take of your orange and blue glasses and crack open a history book. I'm not alone in this opinion...
http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/spo...-state-qb.html

Culpepper was a beast. He just didn't play for a big name school so didn't get anywhere near the recognition he deserved.

Some of his highlights...
Quote:
Culpepper set an NCAA record for single-season completion percentage at .736, breaking a 15-year-old mark set by Steve Young (.713) and accomplished a feat equaled by only two others in NCAA history when he topped the 10,000 yard passing mark and the 1,000 yard rushing mark in his career.

He finished his career with 11,412 yards passing and 1,020 yards rushing. He ranked sixth on the NCAA's all-time total offense list for all divisions with 12,459 yards and was responsible for 108 career touchdowns (84 passing, 24 rushing).

Culpepper, who set more than 30 UCF records, won the 1998 Sammy Baugh Trophy as the passer of the year in college football and was chosen along with Ricky Williams from Texas as the national Co-Player of the Year by the Sports Network.
Keep in mind this was all done with a MUCH lesser supporting cast. Culpepper didn't have a Harvin.

You link me a poll ... taken out of an Orlando Newspaper ... Asking who people preffer.. the home town hero, or the only player in the history of the sport to go 20/20, 2 time national champion, and win the heisman trophy as a sophmore who has a chance to become the single most decorated player in the history of college football? And you expect it to mean ANYTHING?

And of course he had no cast, but he played no competition either. Go home and believe that culpepper was better it makes no difference to anyone. The SEC has the best defense in the league, and Tebow shreds them every year. Whats the best team culpepper ever played? Shit Hawaii's QB's put up better numbers than that but you dont see them getting any credit because no one cares when you beat mary's school for the deaf and blind.

Man up or go home. Dont bring that BS in here.

As much as it pains me to say it, Orlando is more of a UF town than it is a UCF town. Orlando is the closest major city to Gainesville. There's no jobs in Gainesville. Nearly all UF grads leave Gainesville upon graduation. Culpepper is far from the hometown hero. You're completely talking out your ass if you believe that UCF is more popular than UF in Orlando.

And your talking out your ass if you think 2000 random people in Orlando (home of UCF) means anything about the collective comparison of Culpepper and Tebow.

Tebow is being hailed as one of the 3 best players in college football history. Culpepper isnt even the best player from his school.

I'm not intending on proving that Culpepper was better than Tebow, it's impossible and totally up to one's opinion. I'm just showing that I'm not totally insane in my belief (as you indicated).
