I did a quote on true car.com and got some emails from dealerships in my area. One was charging 12k over MSRP and claimed that there was a limited number of challenger hell cats being made.

When I pointed out to him that according to Kuniskis this was gonna be a mass produced car he replied with an email saying his Dodge rep told them that only 3000 hellcat engines where going to be produced and that they where going to be shared between the challenger, charger and jeep.

According to him Dodge/Jeep just trademarked the name Track Hawk and some of those 3000 hellcat engines are going into Jeeps.

That guy full of shit or what?

By the way the dealerships name is John Johnson in Boonton, NJ. Stay away from them dudes !

He is full of crap. I ordered mine,but won't build until next allocation. My brothers was ordered on first allocation and should be here soon. Don't pay over MSRP

Tim Kuniskis has said (and I saw it on a clip) that they will fill all customer orders for the car. That said, the beginning rollout is slow and they are behind - there are a lot built and waiting to ship for the folks that were the first to get their orders in - but none have made it to the dealers yet - but it is supposed to happen this month.

As for mine, there were a lot of dealers in my area looking to charge anywhere from 10-25k over MSRP - which I refuse to pay. Found a dealer a little further away (25m) but selling at MSRP which is where I need to be as I have my SS that will be traded in on it and MSRP is always where they start with a trade.

Good to hear you were smart enough to not pay over MSRP. 25 miles away is not far at all. I drive that far to go to work every day hahaha.

No solid dates yet. Salesman told me not to expect till late Spring/Early Summer. Salesman is actually buying the 1st one of that Dealer's 1st allocation that should be coming this month. My order is #6 in line. The 2nd allocation for dealers will be in Dec for a Feb/March delivery, then so on as they ramp up to fill cust orders. I suspect for the first yr rollout, dealers won't have any lot inventory orders filled until the pace on the customer orders stabilize.
