No offense to others but I would be embarrassed to be apart of the army or air force!!! and would not feel safe going outside the wire with them!! I have personal experience for my reasons!!
None taken. Been with a few units myself that either embarrassed me or downright scared the bejeebus outta me in how they conducted operations.
All the services have 'less than stellar' units in them, and that includes the Corps.

Stay safe!

Why didn't you included the navy just curious. And i do understand that the air force and the navy are the two branches that don't have infantry, but regardless there are people in the air force that are trained just as much as you are maybe more. I.e. PJ's, SERE not everybody has a desk job. And here is one for you, think about your SUPPLY marines would you want to deploy with them. The people that are in the marines and haven't seen the light of a 240,m9,m4 since he was in basic.

I ended up stationed with a guy I grew up with. He was Security Police in the AF. He went to Honduras. Said he hated going outside the wire cause he went with guys that didn't want him there and he had nowhere near their training. He said they did their best to take care of him though cause they knew he had no idea what he was doing. No offense taken here, you have an entirely different specialty, just the way it is. Or at least was. All the services have their specialty and depend on each other from time to time. Its all good. Closest I came to ground combat was one excersize at Seymour Johnson when they actually gave us M-16 with the blank adapter. That was odd. Next thing we knew the 82nd Airborne was dropping from the skys. We had fun shooting blanks at them then they landed, got on buses and headed back to "Fayettenam". I remember in basic our TI told us that the Airforce didn't have enough M-16 to go around. His advice was to beat the nearest Marine unconcious and take his. LOL

Just to reply to a couple of post...I didnt mention the navy being that the MC is a branch of the navy. The seal teams do amazing work and out of the guys I met all were good at what they do. We have corpsman attached to our unit who all do good work.

-Yes every branch has there jobs and importance and although some not as dangerous and deploy as much all ARE IMPORTANT!!!!

-Im no better then anybody else on this earth. the reason I would never be a part of another branch is not about individuals but about the standards they hold and how they conduct buisness. There are plenty of individuals in other branches that have what it takes to be a Marine, but just chose another route.

-I think the MC could do fine with out the support of AF and Army but I think they need the MC. -history proves itself-

Im not infantry nor would I feel better about my self claiming to be lol. Im in communications supporting infantry. Ive done security as well. I wanted an mos that would give me experience so I would be well rounded and have good job opportunities for when I get out.

My brother, a retired Marine, always said you could tell who was a Marine when you got off a comercial flight. They all head to the nearest restroom and make themselves presentable in or out of uniform. Well, he has me there! My hair is shorter now than when I was in the AF. THats ok I'll take my mid life crises and MY CAMARO PLEASE!!!!!!

I guess I'm going to have to disagree with you again, as I have spent time with Marines in Army Schools such as Airborne and Armor. I could be wrong but I don't think Soldiers go to any Marine schools? Nothing personal, I'm sure the Marines are a great Service but I've always considered them the Hollywood branch. Pretty uniforms for making nice TV commercials but to small a force to be of any consequence. Army is where the ground work gets done and I'll give a shout out to the Air Force and Navy since they control the Nukes, the ultimate peacemakers. In all seriousness though, I hope you stay safe and come home to an awesome Camaro ASAP.
