I love that stuff!! Its so easy to make and eat for lunch.

No he hasn't, I can't pry him off of me. Its like having this new tick or growth. He feels really bad because since he has to be off his feet he has gained a few pounds and he sees me working out and gets kinda jealous. But I told him when his foot is better and he starts working out he is young and it will melt off. But his foot isn't better so we have to go back to the doctor next week.

PS. I have been passing all the recipes I found on here over to my Team Beach Body friends so if anyone has any new ones, post away!

P.P.S My black work pants that I bought a few months ago, a size 8, I can no longer offically wear. They are too loose and look really baggy. WINNNNNING!

Here ya go. I think it's reasonably accurate as I can check with pincers and it's very close. It's a good tool to make sure you're going in the right direction, but expect some small fluctuation if you check it every single day. I only record it once a week but check it daily for trends.

You want to be around 1400 cals daily to lose healthy weight for your age/body type.

The diet doesn't look bad but here's what I'd personally adjust.....

1. Eat more protein, especially for your first meal of the day. You've basically sat on an empty stomach over night and your body will have a tendency to cannibalize the muscles. You want to have protein first thing in the morning when you wake up. Add 2-3 egg whites to your toast and PB, or add some ON Pro Complex 1 scoop.

2. Have some protein right before bed for the same reason. I have two scoops of ON Pro Complex as it's quick and easy to drink down. Cottage cheese is another good one before bed, or any casein protein that's slow digesting.

3. Move your carbs from dinner up earlier in the day. Just do a protein and fibrous carbs (veggies) for any meals after about 5-6pm. Chicken and spinach salad with balsamic dressing, Tilapia and veggies, etc. Asparagus is a good veggie to have at night as it's a natural diuretic and will make you leaner looking.

If you can move your workouts to 1st thing in the morning, then just have 1 scoop of the ON Pro Complex, then do your P90X or Insanity or whatever flavor of the month is, then wait about an hour after the workout to have anything else and have your carbs at that meal with a bit of protein.

I have 2 scoops of ON Pro before the gym, then a small portion of carbs and more protein about 45 minutes after.

If you weigh 136lbs, then you wanna be eating about 150gr of protein a day. This will help build lean mass.

Protein has 4 cals per gram
Carbs have 4 cals per gram
Fat has 9 cals per gram

That means 600 calories of your 1400 daily will go to protein. I'd personally bias the remaining 800 toward healthy fats (almonds, natty PB, olive oil, stuff like that) and throw in the remainder as carbs to fill in as needed to get to 1400 cals, but bias the carbs to early in the day and taper them off toward 5pm.

Don't forget to allow for a cheat mean once a week, but it is in ADDITION to the other 5 or so meals you're already eating...it's NOT a replacement.

Probably more info that you wanted.......

I try to eat as much protein as I can because I CAN NOT STAND the texture of those protein powders and I have tried every kind my sister has brought home. I can barely drink a gladiator at Smoothie king bc of the texture. Can't do it. The only way I can do it is if I cook it into some kind of protein cookie.

I used to eat a boiled egg with breakfast, I guess I can start doing that again.

I know what I should be eating (my sister is a dietician) I just didn't know if it was enough. I shoot for 1400 a day some days I go over a few some days i fall short. But dinner is really hard to cut out too much carbs because I have to keep Skip and Dad happy but I do keep the calories/servings small. There are days when we do eat fish and veggies or steak and veggies or chicken and veggies, I just didn't write those days down. And I'm an asparagas addict and diet cranberry juice addict bc they are diaretics. I just mix the dt cranberry juice in with water and a lemon. YUM.

I usually work out at 4:00pm, I can't do morning workouts mainly bc I have to be out the door at 6:00. And on my off days if I work out in the mornings it gives me a horrible headache.

And my cheat meal is usually Chuys, me and Skip split fajitas for one but I dont eat the cheese or sour cream.

Have you tried the Optimum Nutrition protein? I swear it's like Purity Chocolate Milk, not thick AT ALL and mixes up with just water, a spoon, and let it set 90 seconds or so. One scoop of the Pro Complex product in 10oz of water is 30gr of protein and a good burst of amino acids and vitamins.

One egg ain't enough girlie. You need 25-30gr of protein first thing in the morning and one HB egg white only has about 4gr so you'd have to eat a half dozen to get enough.

Just because you cook carbs for your guys doesn't mean you have to eat them

No I haven't but I can't stand anything else I've tried so I can't see myself liking it. They are either too gritty or too smooth. Any other protein suggestions? Can't have cottage cheese either. I'm texture OCD. Texture makes me gag.

I'm not trying to be a muscle man like you. Just trying to keep my weight down. And I dont eat a whole slew of carbs at dinner.

If you were trying to have huge muscles I'd tell you to eat 300gr of protein a day hahaha. 150 is just to be toned.

You can eat any good protein source that is 25-30gr

Steak 4oz
Chicken 4oz
Fish 4oz
Eggs, but enough to get 25-30gr (3 egg beaters for example)
Cottage Cheese 1 cup

Or a combination of any of the above

My breakfast, when not a protein shake and some PB, is 3 egg beaters, 1/4 cup shredded sharp low fat cheddar, and 3 pieces of turkey bacon.

See if you can find a sample of the Optimum Nutrition protein just to make sure. Put one serving (one scoop) in 10oz of water and I bet you'll do fine. It's not thick....it's the same consistency of chocolate milk if not a bit thinner. No funny after taste or any of that and believe me I've drank just about every protein on the market over the years.

A lot of women at work see me drinking this stuff in the break area at work and ask me about it. I let them have a sip and they can't believe it's a protein shake.
