Just for fun...I did the Build & Price of the Hellcat on Edmunds.com. The Pirelli tires are an option, along with the black satin hood and Nav. In the end, I came out with $65,020. Still not a bad price...I think.

Heat not a problem Hellcat runs 11:41 in the first actual timed dragstrip run spinning through 2nd gear.

"Switching the electronic stability system to Track mode was the key to launching the Hellcat properly since I only had limited time getting familiar with the car"

I'm minutes from GLD (were this was done). It's been a cold summer with evening temps of high 50's to low 60s. Assuming this runs was made Aug 6th (7th slicks only night), the DA was 1003, 62 degree, 30.07 in, 80%. Sunset is 8:04 so I'd guess this was done between 9 an 10pm

Good catch on the air temps, but they are not Fall temps which would be in the lower 40s with low humidity. My best runs out of my Challenger never came at night regardless of the air temps. Daytime sunny fall days always produced my best passes in all my cars. Relatively cool nights always presented traction limited launches.

There is no doubt this car will run the claimed 11:20s it may go even quicker. It also won't need thousands of passes over a 2.5 year period to do it to do it once

I think it could work for them. If chevy would bump to the 650 and keep it cheaper I think they could sale just as much if not more

Keep in mind there is no wind resistance there. Supposedly the Hellcat is electronically limited to 199 but has gone to 207 in testing.

So still no 11.2 time slips and only trapping 122 with 700HP? Still no manual transmission runs?

Cars.com: 11.4 @ 122mph
MotorTrend: 11.7 @ 125mph

By comparison the M5 runs 11.9 @ 122mph with only 575HP. The trap speeds are just not adding up. Has anybody dyno'd the HelloKitty?

It's not limited. That has been stated many times by srt engineers.
