It's hard ot say without knowing more but two things come to mind. You may have reached a "plateu". If this is the case a number of things can be done. Usually a change-up in training techniques can solve the problem.

If it's diet related I am thinking that you may be on a carb restricting diet. Most diets that restrict carbs to much can cause this problem and usually backfire and cause the weight to be gained back easilly and often times more. When you retrict carbs for a while the body starts to burn fat and/or muscle for fuel to hang on to the much needed carbs, when you eat carbs again the body doesn't burn them, after a long deficit it stores them as fat again to re-build the reserves that have been depleteted.

If this is the case then scroll back and see a post on calorie tappering or cycling which may be beneficial. Fat burn or weight loss will be slower but more permanant and you will avoid the side affects of low carb diets.

Well, I only count the workout and then the cardio (if I do cardio that day as well) and then stop the monitor. I don't keep it going. But, I do use it to track progress. Did legs today....first time in a couple weeks and good grief are they sore...

lol, just picking with you. Don't care about the calories, just keep pushing hard in the gym and watch the food intake. Keep lifting heavy! Everything is achievable. You are doing great!

12/27/10 - 168.5 - 12.4%
1/10/11 - 166 - 12.1%
1/17/11 - 167 - 11.7%
1/24/11 - 167.5 - 12.2%
1/31/11 - 164.5 - 11.6%
2/7/11 - 163.5 - 11.2%
2/14/11 - 163 - 10.7%
2/21/11 - 165 - 11.2% (added back too many carbs - removed some also started thermogenic)
2/28/11 - 163.5 - 10.3%
3/7/11 - 163.5 - 10.6%
3/14/11 - 161 - 10.1% (carb pulse)
3/21/11 - 160 - 10.1% (carb pulse)
3/28/11 - 159.5 - 9.6% (carb pulse)
4/4/11 - 157 - 9.3% (carb pulse)
4/11/11 - 158 - 9.0% (carb pulse)
4/18/11 - 160 - 10% (vacation - drank beer)
4/25/11 - 158 - 9.5%

SO, my workouts are still going very well. Strength continues to increase, although not as rapidly as when I'm just eating tons of carbs, but that's OK.

However, I seem to stuck in the 9% range. The one week at 10% I'm throwing out. I was on a company paid vacation and they put beer in my face every time I turned around. I still hit the gym at the resort though, but eating and everything else was out of routine.

I may need to push the carbs up a bit higher on carb days and a bit lower on no carb days to get in to the 8% range. My goal is gonna be 6%.

Talked to one of the pros at the gym this morning about being stuck at 9% and he said the lower you go the harder it is. Your body doesn't want to be that low and you have to keep adjusting things to push it in to the area you want.

He's been doing KETO (under 50 carbs daily) for the past two weeks and has two more weeks to go before he starts carb pulsing. He said it's a balancing act between cutting fat and keeping your muscles from looking flat. I may get to KETO down the road if I have to, but I hope not because it sucks.

Workout today went like this:

Incline Dumb Bell - 85/85/85 - 9/8/7
Flat Dumb Bell - 75/75/75 - 8/8/8
Cable Fly - 35/35/35 - 8/7/6 (This is a heavy 35...not like a normal machine...felt like 70)
Incline Dumb Bell Hammer Curl - 40/40/40 - 9/8/8
Incline Dumb Bell Curl - 40/40/40 - 8/8/8
Cable Finishing Curl - 20/20/20/20/20 - 10/10/10/10/10

35 mins HIIT treadmill (mixing up the cardio from LIIT to HIIT)

In a couple of weeks I'll be temporarily living next door to my gym...I mean literally next door. I'll be able to walk to the gym which will be awesome while it lasts. I'll be there for the entire summer so I plan to switch my workout to a one body part per day schedule so I can just hammer on it. We'll see what happens, but I plan to be ripped.

Ah the joys of selling houses and having new ones built, moving twice, and storage units.

You can tell it's spring, everyone is scarce around here.

I hope everyone is still working towards thier goals, don't slack off or all will be for not.

I am super busy at work but have been getting in my workouts and feel back to normal, although that word is not usually used in a description of me.

Few of us still around. I haven't lost as much weight as I want to, but I'm working on it. Definitely gained muscle and lost fat. I'm doing Body Pump 3 times a week...trying to walk the other days....but I need to become more consistent with that. Trying to just eat sensibly and small portions. My goal is 15 pounds more by July 1...we'll see!

Checking in from Afghanistan!! Finally made it here Friday and didn't get over the Jet Lag until Sunday...hit the gym Monday morning and after a 2 week hiatus, I felt like a weakling!!! I've hit the gym every day since and am getting into the swing of things here. The dining options are going to be a challenge, but I will do the best I can to eat well. Speaking of which...I had a little run in with a box of Crunch N Munch yesterday, but I slayed that dragon by taking the box into the shop so I wouldn't eat the whole darned box!! LoL!! I will be traveling a lot so probably won't get a chance to do my daily quotes like before, but hope to at least pop in every now and then to see how you all are doing and to give ya an update.
