Makes perfect sense. I haven't played quite enough online to know for sure- in MW1 the M16 was kind of OP'd, but the AK was my buddy and I used it for everything. I can't believe the AK went from like level 8 to level 65?

The M16 was my bread and butter in MW1, hopefully it hasn't changed too much... not there yet.

I'm not there either, but my understanding is that instead of dumbing down the M16, other guns were brought up. It certainly feels that way. I didn't much care for the M4 in MW1 but it seems effective now.

I was suprised to see the AK as high as it is.... I don't consider that an upper level gun. Same with the 50 Cal Sniper Rifle.

But one thing they did with World At War was give you the easier gun's first. The Gewher was maybe the best weapon in the game, good effective mid range rifle with NO blow back. The M1 Grand was the most effect sniper rifle in the game once you leveled it up to use the scope. Upper level weapons like the PPSH and the Carbine are more difficult to use, and thus you had to be a better player to master them.

I think IW just did it to switch things up I guess. I like that everyone is forced to use different stuff for a while rather than leaning on the AK and M16. I see guys using all different stuff- the M4, TAR21, FAL, etc. In COD4, 60% of the guys just used the AK. I do miss the AK74u and G36 though.

Personally, I'm liking MW2 a lot better than MW1. I think IW fixed just about all the gameplay problems with MW1.

in call of duty 4 I always used the M-16. all you need is accuracy and the 3 round burst will take care of the kill, racked up all kinds of kills that way and accuracy. in WAW i used the mp-40 and bar, MW2 i've been using the scar, definitely an awesome gun, can't wait to unlock the M-16 tho. I love online so far, my kill-death ratio is 1.40, accuracy at 17% and did i mention i love this game, I get off work at 2:30 central time everyday and I will be online throughout the day, PSN baum2eagle

this is hands down the best online shooter i have ever played....and I've played alot...if any of you have noticed that some of the maps look familar, its because they are, wastelands, subpen, and a couple others are from call of duty 1 and 2, just updated for modern times

That gun was one pull one kill. And the 3 round burst saved ammo if you want to get real into it.

My kill to death is 1.2, took me a while to figure out I can't like CODMW2 like I do COD5. COD5 I know everything in the book so this threw me off a bit.

Accuracy is 17.8%

Has anyone put much effort into the riot shield? I tried it a couple of times- seems to be very map dependant. When I choose a submachine gun to kit out, I'll probably run with a shield as primary. I did find it interesting how you get points for taking shots for others.

Seems to work well in the airport, subpen, and for assaulting the caves in Afghanistan.
