they might be having a hard time too, but i don't think we have to worry about them going under.

Of course...and you are very wise to take notice of that.

However, well over 100,000 US auto workers are out of a job recently, and I'd like to see them put back to work, and our countries manufacturing base reinvigorated Maybe I'm a little cold-hearted....

Well, thats just swell, but as far as I am concerned, I would never have taken a job with toyota in the first place. So, it is what it is. No one is ever going to change my mind about the Japanese, as far as I am concerned, they can kiss my ass. Screw all this "let's all hold hands and sing kumbaya together" crap. They started it on December 7, 1941. They are still pissed we beat their ass in 1945. If you don't understand that, you are part of the problem.

Not that I don't agree but...

When the B3 were being honest about needing bailouts, I saw ALOT of hate towards their workers. People were quick to throw them under the bus, so I'll be quick to throw these ones under a Prius. I really do feel sorry for them too because there is alot less room under a Prius...

I drive a drop dead gorgeous 2010 rally yellow 2LT RS to a Toyota plant every day to work. The looks it gets from all those 20 year old employee's buzzing around in there corolla XRS's thinking they have a cool sports car now understand they are driving nothing more then a glorified grocery getter. Someone had to show them what a real car is. God forbid Toyota builds something thats fun to drive.

Wow.. You really have some hatred... I guess what I don't like about Toyota is how they knew of this problem long ago and denied it for so long up until this family of four dies.. I hope those in charge of Toyota who kept their mouths shut and silenced anyone who knew of this issue get whats coming to them.. For all those Toyota workers and mechanics all around the globe who don't deserve to be placed in the same pile as those above them in command... Don't keep these issues quiet any longer if you discover them. Speak out and don't let the fear of being fired keep you form saving peoples lives..

Toyota is going down the same path as GM did. Got too big, too fat, quality and reliability suffered, big time. They've been selling sub-standard cars on their reputation for almost 25-30 years now, at a premium to their competition. People are gonna figure it out soon enough, and ditch them just like they ditched the big three way back when.

And the fact that Toyota watched this happen to the big three while they overtook them, and did the exact same thing, means they as a company deserve to die. Let capitalism work its magic, as best it can in this situation.

Toyota design = tasteless cookie cutter. I don't even like the Supra. They are all boring. The Prius is the absolute ugliest car on the road, then that Honda Element and finally the Cube...blah.
