My Dad in Kingwood says he's doing well, was grilling salmon last night. Step Daughter in Conroe is well. Sister in Spring is well.

Doing ok out here in Katy. We've had about 16-18" of rain here so far, most in two big storms. Those 2 storms caused street flooding abt to my sidewalk (2-3 feet lower than house), but went down shortly after rain let up some.

Other areas not so lucky... one coworker that lives closer to downtown got some water in her house.

And we have 2-4 more days of this! Mother Nature at her worst!

Anybody remember TS Allison from back in 89? How is the flooding compared to that? It took me 4 hours to get home from the Aramco Building off of 610 and S. Braeswood to Barker Cypress and FM529.

I lived off of Katy-Hockley Cutoff and Morton Ranch Rd. during Rita... we had some pretty good rain and flooding then, but those rice fields took a lot of the water and helped.

I've gone through a few, Andrew, Charlie, Francis, Jeanne to name a few and it ain't pretty. And, fortunately, we've had a few pass us by. If it isn't the hurricane, it's the aftermath ... power , water, gas and OMG Internet ... things you might take for granted. While I'm glad Harvey missed us, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Y'all are Texans so I'm sure you will figure out how to overcome this. Best wishes, be safe and Godspeed!

I'm in Katy as well, barely have a few tablespoons of water on our sidewalks. Crazy how some parts are effected and some not. And we are all so close to each other.

After 3 days of stressing over my little sister who just moved to Galveston Island, we are relieved to know she is safely at a campground Near College Grove and at this point her house has survived. It is far from over as they are still rained into a camper with their 3 dogs, lots of rain & potentially tornadoes yet to get through & no telling how long until flood waters go down enough for them to go home. But for now a big sigh of relief. Hope all our Camaro peeps down there are okay.

Pics are just amazingly terrible. My sister has evacuated to a camp ground up near you but not sure how long until they will be able to get back on Galveston Island.

No idea on timetables for returning at the moment. I'm further north in College Station but am trying to arrange a ride into Houston to help out
