This is actually federal law. Federal statute says no more than 10k primers and 20 lbs of powder however they allow states to set their own limits below this amount. For example, Mass only allows 5k primers and 10 lbs of powder and if you want more than that you have to get a license.

Just going from memory here, but I believe Mr_Draco is on target, it is Federal law.

I think it might fall under storing of explosives. At least in local re-loader circles, it is talked about that if you have more primers than you are supposed to, it is considered that you have explosives in your single family residence.

Any issues storing powder with primers? It's in a flammable storage cabinet, probably ideal for powder.

Soooo many bullets! I'm afraid that cabinet is going to go thru the floor!

So I was given approx. 8k primed 300BLK cases. I think it is a sign to get something that shoots it.

.50 can for scale.

I'd certainly agree, that IS a compelling sign one needs a .300 upper.

I agree Blake is reload king! Now question is, if you can only have 10k primers does it count if they are in brass rounds?

That's a good question.....

From this video, SAAMI would likely say it's safe to have as many primers as you like as long as they're in the brass. They never say it, but they do imply it.

Such a waste of ammo... but fascinating video.

Still painful.

I'd like to see one on primer storage.

SAAMI has lots of good informational videos on their site for sure one can learn lots.

Agreed on primer storage....some....well lots of the laws surrounding firearms and ammo are Draconian and defy any logic whatsoever. No offence MR_Draco
