The S7 will work if it's not in a huge case. A simple snap on case just fits. The Edge is a little larger and will not fit (not sure if it will without a case).

Android Auto will work wireless, but Apple Carplay will not.

Probably gonna just take it out when I do rear seat delete eventually. Nobody is gonna be in my back seat. Don't have to care for the suede/microfiber/alcantara and leather. Saves some weight anyway. If it's not gonna get used then why not take it out. If its not all one piece with console anyway. Keep it in my basement and put it back in before I sell the car. Phones are only gonna get bigger and having s7 edge even without case it flies out without much effort.

I really need to find out what's so good about Android Auto. I deleted it off my phone because every time I plug in to charge (since the pad doesn't work) Android Auto takes over my screen and I can't get crap to work.

IMHO, It's like putting playing cards on the spokes for F@#$ sake. $60K+ Super Car with a gimmicky ass cell phone charger.... smh.
Totally agree with you on this one. some extra USB ports or something back there would have been better. It is nice to set my DSLR Camera on for a quick grab and have it sort of out of sight at car meets etc. I'm sure we'll find something else to use it for...

My S8/Edge with no cover won't fit.

It took some getting used to for me, but once you plug it in and the Android Auto app launches you pretty much lose use of the phone itself. You have to go through the car screen to get things to work without lagging. It works fine for me now that I realized that. Just plug it in and leave your phone alone and use the Camaro screen for whatever you need.

Totally agree here. I run it in both my truck and the ZL1 and I'm loving it. I just leave it on the home screen so I can say "OK Google" and have it read or send messages or whatever I need it to do.

You're correct mlee about it somewhat locking up your phone screen. But the whole idea is to not be using your phone while you're in the car anyway. So it helps achieve that goal. You can bring it back to your home screen on your phone if you need to, but I'm trying to do that less and less.

Overall, I love wireless charging, but to me it's more of an inside the home use case. When you're in the car you're generally using the phone to navigate and I find that consumes too much power for most wireless charges found in cars.

It would be cool to retrofit the Samsung fast charger into that place. Maybe then it would be useful.

Funny about the apple.
I have an apple 7 and my wife took out of cover thinking it was getting in he way.
No luck, now I know it won't work thanks to you guys.
At least the car has a cup holder. Some super cars 4 x the cost still do not have a coffee cup holder.
I am trying to figure out how to use the sub and a cable to play music from my phone still

Right now I am trying to figure out how many stations I can pre program on the sm radio as it only has 5 buttons along the bottom when audio us displayed.
I fall asleep reading the manual.

IPhones don't have wireless charging capability. It wouldn't work even If the phone fit.

I have an S8 with a pretty thin case and I have never gotten it to work. Honestly until I saw this thread I had kind of forgotten it was there. I agree with the others here that say its kind of a silly gimmick.

I have a Moto Z Android with a wireless charging mod and it barely fits the wireless charging base with the rubber mat removed. It does work with no special apps...just lay the phone screen up with the top towards the passenger side.

Swipe those buttons up on the screen and you can get two more rows to program
