I get it with two doors and sport feel etc., but I've also seen some incredible looking 4 doors throughout the decades that were beautiful as well as lethal. All of those styles are automobiles, and all of them essentially do the same basic task IMO.
I dont consider my opinion smack talk.....i dont like 4 dr cars in a performance based set up. I dont care what car you post up. And as far as incredible looking 4 doors over the decades go......well thats just your opinion. I dont think anybody is questioning the performance of any cars.....its a 4 dr vs 2 dr debate that beens ..and will continue to be a hot topic.Even going back decades to those incredible looking 4 dr sedans. And sice you brought up the CTS V.....only the coupe is something I would consider....and did aucyually at one time.

I like both, that's why I own both and both are performance cars.

^Yea but its easier to talk bad about 4 door cars online than on the street I suppose. All of the talk is opinion if you really want to look at it. In the end its just an exchange of hot air. The manufacturers are the gainers out of all of this; They laugh all the way to the bank on our comparisons and smack talk lol...

The CTS-V is a matter of taste. Some like it, some don't (I actually didn't like the coupe at first, but it grew on me). Most won't deny that it is a lethal automobile.

^ I agree, it's all opinion... I wasn't real keen on 4 doors at one time, until I seen the SS and it's specs. I've been really impressed with it's performance and handling. Some here cringe being told the SS will handle and perform better than their Camaro SS.

Well lets get back to the larger issue at hand; It seems that GM is reverting back into their old ways; Instead of fixing a model, they eliminate it. I don't hear Toyota or Honda talking about eliminating their sedans. Why can't an extremely gifted manufacturer in engineering, such as GM, nail down all of their designs? GM excels at performance and trucks, but stumble at almost everything else.

GM needs to, instead, fire about a half dozen designers, and hire new lead designers with a vision and talent.

Actually Taurus is rumored to be on the chopping block, Fiesta will die after MY2017, and Hyundai has already confirmed Azera is dead.

^ But those are one sedan from each maker. GM is reportedly chopping six. Some of those six GM models have potential. A couple of the GM models should be eliminated though.

GM isn't doing anything. That entire report was pure speculation based on the fact that the UAW at D-Ham was talking to GM about securing future product at the plant, where 4/6 of those cars are built. Somebody put 2 and 2 together and got 6, next thing you know GM is supposedly killing off a bunch of cars.

Even the most logical candidates to be dropped from the lineup are still going to be in production for years.

^Lets hope so. They have potential; Buick has potential too. All or most of them need more attention and work.

GM has to find a way to make cars "Desirable" in order to sell. Just offering an option won't necessarily win a lot of buyers to a car model. You have to somehow convince your market that your model will improve their lives the best. GM once had that ability.......

I'm keeping the Camaro going to replace my GTI.

Thanks!

It's not about speed. I'm sure that many of the family looking sedans can indeed do that. We're talking about the way they look. So yeah, if you like to have the "wolf in sheep's clothing" type of vehicle, that's good. But if you want a car that looks fast, a 4 door sedan doesn't do it for me.

Ok, "muscle car." It looks a hell of lot "sportier" than any car with 4 doors. And I'm not alone in that thinking.

I would hope so, you apparently don't understand what "Sport" in Sport Sedan means. It's about performance, it's not all about looks.
