I've bought 3 of the last 4 guns at Bob's Little Sport Shop in Glassboro and my son has bought at least one of his there. Family-owned business - firearms, archery, and an indoor range (20, maybe 25 yards max, pistol ammo only). So once all the paperwork and NICS stuff was done I just had to put a few rounds of .45 ACP through that long gun.

I'm fond of my current arrangement. I have a guy about a half-mile from my house that owns a Fire/Police/Rescue supply shop (pants, hats, shirts, badge holders, holsters, flashlights, fire extinguishers/etc) and he runs an FFL out of it.

I order whatever I want on GunBroker, Buds Gun Shop, or GrabAGun, have it shipped to him, and I pay $25 for the transfer. I save about $100 on everything I buy this way since all the gun shops in my area charge absurdly. Glocks are $650 around here. Almost every shop charges $50 transfer on used firearms, and $100 transfer on new firearms if you buy it somewhere else and have it shipped. They even charge between $10 and $25 as a transfer fee on new overpriced guns you buy through them.

Couldn't resist the $550 price on a new HK VP9sk so picked one up couple days ago. My son and I were both off work yesterday and headed up in the hills for some 4 wheeling and shooting, what a great day and time spent with my boy!

Put around 250 rounds through each of these two yesterday and now the Sig 938 has proven reliable with a variety of loads (@ around 750rds ). So it is now moved into my carry rotation.

holy crap, $50 to $100 just to receive and do the transfer of a firearm for you??? I hope that includes shipping as well and a hundred rounds of personal defense ammo! I'm glad my local FFL, which is less than 5 minutes away, only charges $10.

Nice! Always had a sweet spot for S&W revolvers. My first pistol was a S&W 66 .357. Great pistol... traded it after a few years for a Blonde 1956 Russian SKS.

My son was in town over the weekend so we went to the range. I hadn't told him what I was going to have on hand . . .

A pair of .22 pistols

And when I saw this, coming in the door to buy the Browning, I just had to have it. Came with the 10-round stick (shown) and a NJ-compliant 10-round drum.

Norm,

I've got quite a bit of trigger time behind a couple of Tommy guns. A rare FBI commercial gun and the other a GI M1 model. They ARE a lot of fun on FA. Used to shoot gophers with the M1 quite a lot. Fairly accurate semi auto.

The commercial belongs to my local FBI Agent. He and the other Agents used to qualify on my land and they brought out everything they had to shoot. I ended up shooting that gun more than they did. What a piece of History. The drum mags can be a bit finicky though.

Have fun with yours.

Cool to be able to shoot a little nostalgia. Hey guys, can anyone recommend a good 2 point rifle sling? Not looking for something super tactical or expensive. Just something reliable and easy to work with.

Side note! Springfields possible betrayal has made me consider selling my Mod 2 for another brand. Any suggestions?

Have you read their response to SB-1657? I suggest you read it if not.
