Nice looking car. I like it. In person I bet they are very sharp! Not sure if I like it as much as the Kia Stinger though...interior or exterior. But I'm going to bet this car drives a bit better.

LF3/LF4 would have taken it over the top, but then again I never expected it. The LGX V6 is a fantastic engine.

As much as I like it, I find it odd people are ok with a $40,000 Buick that comes with a V6 and still has options to be added in, yet there was outcry and almost riots because the fully loaded Chevy SS was $45k.

The Buick is basically loaded and comes with AWD.. Also it's not built on an ancient updated platform. Also, it's a Buick and not a Chevy and interior will most certainly be better and car will be quieter.

SS is actually 49k.

Interior: 9/10
Very sporty, yet not over the top tacky.

Exterior: A bland and abysmal 2/10
The profile shot is a dead ringer for a Mazda6. If passed on the road, most would probably miss it. It reminds me of a Chevrolet SS Version 2.0 (a performance oriented machine wrapped in a fleet vehicle's body). JMHO.

The SS was built for one purpose: to fit the NASCAR template.

For the life of me I can't figure out why manufacturers have to build 4 door sedans so NASCAR can build a 2 door race car that slightly resembles it.

SS was built so Holden would have another export program for Commodore. NASCAR was just a cherry on top. It was GM's attempt to justify Australian manufacturing for a few more years.

While the SS is Sold as a Chevy, it's a Holden. So you get refinements & quality that you don't see in your everyday chevy. There were plenty of smart people that bought SS's at 20% Off. Some People got them for about $36k - that's a Deal

If Holden had designed the SS instead of NASCAR drawing the picture you can bet it would not look so plain.

...Holden DID design the SS. Most of the VF Commodore exterior is evolutionary from the VE Commodore.

VE Commodore/Pontiac G8

VF Commodore/Chevrolet SS

That's a great move for Buick. A 9-speed V6 with AWD makes for a respectable performer. This is going to have great aftermarket potential.

The VF was the first Holden model built to New Generation V8 Supercar regulations

And in any case, V8 Supercars has absolutely nothing to do with NASCAR. Think of it as Australian rules football vs the NFL.
