lancer vs civic not sports cars but just to help out a friend

my friend is getting a new car between a 2009 honda civic or a 2009 mitshubishi lancer which car is better and why

yeah lol i dont know what to tell him he knows im getting the camaro next year and i think his girl kinda likes me and he always has to be one step ahead but i dont think getting a lancer or a civic will do it

he think* he always has to be one step ahead of me i get the xbox 360 he gets the 360 the wii and the ps3 i get a 37inch lcd that i work for and he gets a 47 or so that his dad bought i work my ass of in college to become a nurse and im buying the camaro once i get out in october with my own money plus 10k that i have been saving up and his daddy buys him a new car not a camaro but still just here you go son happy graduation my mom told me to get a job for graduation ahhh well i guess i am just venting pent up anger that he can get the car and the girl and the stuff and dosent have to do anything and i have to work my ass off to get the stuff and the car

Who cares? You had to work to get stuff you wanted. That's how it should be. He won't have those skills when he gets older and he'll never get anywhere in life.

There is a reason Misubishi's reliability ratings and customer satisfaction ratings are so low.. oil burning peices of junk (minus the Evo, which is cool, if not reliable)

Tell him to get the Civic. Or slap him and tell him to get a Cobalt.

its just base models.... and we went and looked at them he decided on a tiburon cherry red color, but the lancer had nav and stuff but had a bench spoiler.
