I don't have any trouble with plates, I likely have similar but don't recall where I got them. My issue is with .50 cal shearing mount bolts and chain. The conveyor got me thinking rubber inner tube may be a solution to chain getting sheared. I have a 6" and two 3" at 250 yds it doesn't take much of a miss high to hit the mount.

My son bolts the silhouette targets directly to 4x4 posts. He also has plates (2", 4", 6", 8", 10") and has them bolted to conveyor and over a bar between 2 posts. See pic. He doesn't have problem with bolts but .50 is a different issue.

I like that, Put those on a metal frame and they'll last a good long while!

Go to an Agricultural machinery dealer, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, etc. When they service round balers, they replace the rubber belts that carry the hay. I think some use TWO, others use three belts. They are 1/4" or so thick and last quite well. Also easily cut with a razor knife. We get them before they throw them in the trash. Never a charge.

Real, heavy duty conveyor belting , especially if it has wire reinforcement, can be VERY tough to cut.

Plenty of neighbors bale, I'll ask around thanks.

That Abrams comment got me thinking I need something super thick for an AP target then it hit me... I bought a 60 gallon compressor tank at auction for a smoker build, and part of the lot was a HUGE metal shear. Probably 3" thick perfect for AP. I bet it rings like a bell when hit too. Probably will offer it in trade for good scrap to the local salvage first, I hate to destroy something another man could use. But I will

When did you order yours? I ordered mine 11/29/2016 and emailed Vortex yesterday to ask if individual orders directly placed with Vortex were shipping also and was told "yes" and they are being filled in the order they were received.

I keep checking to see if my card was charged... nothing yet.

I did not order mine until last week. Although I did not see anything about it being back ordered. I seen the Razor UH1 was on back order though. So I thought I would wait for that one and order the pst for my 7.62 x39. The optic I ordered was a Vortex viper pst gen 2 1-6. It is new so maybe all the new items they released are on backorder. Maybe the the new strikeforce 1-8 is on backorder then too.
