I shot 3 gun and IPSC years back when I was still working for the State, mostly to hone my skills as well as to get ideas for qualification courses, and to evaluate how well my duty gear worked. I like 3 gun far more than the handgun games. A few of the "rules" for the games were very counter to what we did on the cop job. Like retaining mags...it's empty...what use is it? So I shot a few of the games and took their rules with a grain of salt.

Still shoot some Steel Challenge. IMHO hand gunning in it's purest form. No extensive/expensive hardware required. All about speed and accuracy.

Good Luck with 3 gun it IS both FUN and if You are competitive...ADDICTING. Have your 10 shot shotgun yet? LOL.
Well I have not committed to 3 gun yet. I need to shoot alot more and maybe that is a good way to commit to it. I have a Saiga by RWC with 10 round mags. May buy the new ones produced from the new company though for that. It is the KS-12. Not sure if my RWC 12 guage will go up in value because it is fairly rare and really eats any 12 gauge ammo vs the Saiga I bought from a memeber on here. That is an original Russian but does not like 2 3/4.

Could possibly use my remington 1100 competition and switch out the 30" barrel, add a extension to the mag.

Another pic of the UH-1

And Aimpoint is coming out with a AAA powered Comp M5. They only do this to cost me more money.

I do like when they use aaa and aa batteries as this is super easy to find any where if needed. Not that the CR watch style batteries are really that hard. Although with double and triple A batteries I like lithium rechargeable. The really cool thing about the UH1 using rechargeable CR123A batteries and ability to recharge them in the sight.

Now the Vortex I just ordered use CR watch style batteries but none of the 1-4 or 1-6 scopes use anything different.

His NRA certs were thankfully revoked. Which he's claiming the race card over.

And it has nothing to do with the fact that a couple months earlier he accidentally shot one of his students in the chest during one of his training exercises which he was later charged and convicted of and served jail time. North Carolina has also revoked his trainer license because he's repeatedly put his students lives in danger.

Anyone here do Long Range rifle? Either LR Military matches, or Tactical.

We do an informal LR steel shoot at my Club in Great Falls, MT each Wednesday and some more formal matches monthly. We had one this morning. Three shots at a 12 x 12 inch steel plate, at 675, 775, 900, 975, 1100, 1245 and 1420 yards.

Without sighters and with the variable 12-24 mph winds...it was a very TOUGH day.

I happily was the RSO this morning, so had a good excuse NOT to participate. LOL.

Our targets are on the small berms downrange and up on the distant hills.

250 yds is my back porch configuration (does that sound redneck?) I can set up for 500 to 600 yds. If I didn't have a spotter above that I'm probably just throwing away ammo... Tried to spot the .50 myself but it was "bigasst hole low" and "somewhere in the bigasst hole low" (you probably had to be there)

Very cool! Here in Florida hard to get past 300 yards. I have a friend who I am helping to clear some land and make a 1000 yard range. Just got 3 bullet dummies to add this weekend for $700. Supposedly will take 10,000 rounds but I told him for $700 I would rather shoot steel around the dummies! haha
