I added a switch to and existing switch and went from single gang to double. I have 1, 3 wire(white and black)coming from the attic to the wall switch which controls an outlet for the lamp. I simply went thru the top plate added the wire and cant seem to crack the code. I cant get the connection right, i have tried every way i can think of, help please. So this is so basic (i assume)
what am i missing?
