We have all been guilty of jumping too much, but if I were you I'd peck away at it in 5lb increments. Lifting heavy is so much a confidence thing and a PR is a PR. Chances are if you would have tried 410 today you would have gotten it.

Yep probably. I was pretty hyped for it but I think after a 12 hour shift maxing out probably isn't the best idea anyways.

well Monique is insane!! I would tell you to slow that woman down some, but then you would end up getting hurt by comments like that.

Finally got back in the gym Monday working out upper body. It's been a while since I got that wow can't move, feels like I'm getting stabbed by ice picks feeling.

That's awesome. Monique should be able to shed her walking boot in 2 more weeks. Though probably another 2 months until she gets 100% clearance.

I hit a 405 x 2 on the bench last week.

I'm gonna max my DL at some point this week. It's my worst lift by far but hoping to set an all time pr.

Haven't since 06.

I'd like to return at some point over the next few years to make a run at the AAPF/AWPC national/world records for old fat men lol. Need at work on my DL more though. Squat and bench are fine.

But really at this point in my life I enjoy helping others and coaching Monique more.

Yep, know the feeling. Passing on a vast amount of knowledge, and seeing your trainee succeed is quit the satisfaction. Also helps the ego to go "yep, I created that beast".

I know I have competed enough and don't look to do it again. I am happy with my accomplishments, and like helping others now. It feels great.
