Only an idiot parent would allow their child to play this mindless game. My kid is gonna play golf, soccer (REAL FOOTBALL), swimming, volleyball and tennis. American football is overrated and it's just a matter of time before the sport is outlawed, or worse banned.

30,000 car deaths a year and football is the enemy. Ok. Round up is in all the food we eat, poisoning everybody cause untold health issues, yet a form of entertainment that people choose to do should be banned? The president thinks that limiting free speech by changeing the libel laws is good thing, but a game people attend by the millions weekly is the enemy. The country is is bought and paid for by big pharma and the petrol industry and corporations are givin the right to free speech letting them buy the electorate process and football is your issue? Really?

Must be real amazing to be so smart... oh, wait. This just in... the concussion rate among soccer players is about the same as football and ice hockey.

This can't be? You mean, not wearing head protection in a contact sport, like soccer... or "real football", means you could actually suffer a concussion? NOOOOOOOO!!!! You can suffer a concussion in a sport where you actually hit the ball with your head? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

So much for that sport... maybe knitting?

I agree with you 100%. We have a lot problems already. Other issues are far more important than football but this thread is about football.

Football is the #1 Participation Sport in US High Schools - there must be a Lot of Idiots!

I played Football in HS and never got a Concussion! I played Soccer in College & Semi-Pro and had a few Concussions!

Sidney Crosby got another Concussion playing Hockey - Should they shut that down too!

Well, I'm glad to hear that and am pleastly surprised. Just remember that life is filled with choices, we should give people good information to help them make informed decisions on their choices. I dont believe anybody reading this thread is actively persueing playing football. I know you have a personal connection with this issue due to someone close to you being affected. That being said, I feel you need to direct your efforts more towards people that can use it. We don't need daily reprisals of your latest concussion vids. Maybe local school boards could benefit more from them then some people over the age of participating in tackle football. Thanks for your concern, but a many vids later, we have received the message. Thank you. You need to focus on participants, not fans. So please do.

I understand your point of view but since we are discussing the NFL then we should also discuss how current players are disrespecting the league and the country, and yet another reason why the fan base is quickly diminishing. What a shame because the NFL was such a great league back in the day.

I'm no Fan of Kaps, but I believe he has said he wasn't trying to disrespect Veterans etc, but Racism. Said he will not be doing it this year. Heck, I don't know what team would take him!
