Let's talk convertible roll cages..again
I have searched the internet hi and low and read many posts and articles about bolt in roll cages. However, most of them are older so I wanted to get some fresh data. Let's not turn this into a weld vs bolt schoolgirl fight but i wanted to get some information from folks who have recently done this. I have no desire to keep it in the car so i want to put it in ONLY in the every so often times I go to a track. I went to the track last night to test and tune phase 1 of my 644RWHP build. We made 2 passes and was told "don't come back here without a cage". Phase 2 will be starting in a week or so with a 10 rib system and 2.875" pulley which should add about 8# more boost getting to somewhere around 800RWHP so I am certain this will be a common issue for me and I knew I would have to address it sooner or later. Some questions i have are:
Who are some more makers of "removable" cages? How easy/time consuming is it to take in and out? Other lessons learned in the process? Creative ideas you guys have used to make it an easier process each time? ETC Thanks
