Going to try sporting clays as soon as I get my game up on trap. Sporting clays looks like alot of fun.

Here in Canada - We can only shoot AR's at a Range..
Another weird law that makes no sense.

The IWI X95 I can keep in the front seat and shoot anywhere..... Go Figure that one out.
The PWS has a good Rep. Shot a few - Great Rifles.
POF same. Great Rifle.

They are all pretty much the same price here.

I guess having an AR is not useful in your country. So I see why you are debating something else. Although in Canada I am sure the animals are fairly big so I see why not able to hunt with them. Sounds like the IWI is the gun to go with then. Why buy another ar when one of the 3 gives more usability.

Exactly my kind of golf. Always wanted to go to the golf driving range and shoot golf balls as they go by. A friend of mine owns a golf course here in Florida and I have been trying to talk him into letting me do it but it is within city limits and may cause a problem. haha

I need to get a scope on my .308 still. I see you went with leopold. Mind me asking what model that is? Also what yardage to plan to take your .308 out to? I was originally going to get a really nice scope then reminded myself effective range of a .308 is 600-700 meters.

ON another note pof makes the .300 winchester mag in the ar10 frame. That is a gun that will separate you from the rest at the range for sure! I bought my .308 6 months before they came out with that gun and I might have went the other way with a 24" barrel.

To be fair, you'll never hear any responsible gun owner complain his dog ate his gun because it shouldn't have been left where a dog could've gotten to it for that long...

I'd like to agree, but..... I don't have a dog, but I do usually have two weapons I can get to without taking a step. I'll put them up when a child is around, but I've never considered it when my daughter brings her dog over.

A large dog can do that in a matter of minutes. Even when we're being responsible, we can be guilty of not considering all outcomes of a situation.

Learning from others mistakes.

I have several gun vault type safes around the house, definitely no guns loose. I have an 8-year-old and two dogs.

I have the advantage of no children around, no dogs, and can shoot in my yard, so there's almost always something laying around with a warm barrel.

When I'm gone it's Ft Knox mode.

That Leupold is a MARK 6 3x18x44 with TMR Reticle. What a beauty.
Between Nightforce and Leupold....I have been spoiled.

Lower cost options are perfectly fine, Burris / Bushnell, etc. I have/had those as well.
But there is just that "Something" that you notice or feel when you are behind a quality Optic. It is true 1/2 of your brain says "Shit , I just spent $3K"....The other half says "Ya Buddy...I can see clearly now!"

The Rifle as set up was my 800 Yard Rifle. Unfortunately, I have yet to get it out to try. I know it will.
