Hello everyone! We're getting into the busy season here at Roto-fab. And in an effort to keep up with demand, I have moved to the 3rd shift roto-molding position! My job description now consists of: Rotational molding plastic air boxes and air inlet pieces, TIG welding our aluminum and stainless steel components, and keeping up with the forum members' questions and concerns.
I thought it might be neat for us night-owls to have our own thread. If you work nights, please chime in and let us know what you do! Have a great night everyone! Michael |

I've worked third shift for about 2 years now. First year was spent as a production operator at a factory that made the carpet for the 2016 Honda Civic. This past year I've been an onsite EMT/Security guard for a power plant working the 1800-0600 shift.
One thing I've noticed is even after two years I still don't have a set sleep schedule.

I work at an adult day care. Been on night shift for almost 3 years.
And by adult day care, I mean a county jail.

I worked night shift for over 35 years. I just switched jobs in October and now work days. I will never get used to it. prior to this job, the last time I had to wake up to an alarm clock was in high school.

I guess there are not that many working night shift that drive a Camaro.
I tried this subject last May and got about as many replies as this thread. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=450953 Curious.

You could have my world, I work in outage restoration for an electric utility company. WE rotate shifs every 4 weeks and can rotate thru any of the following shifts
Mon - Fri 7a-3p 3p-11p 11p-7a (2 people work this permanently thankfully) Day/weekends 7a-3p Mon & Tue or Thur & Fri, then 7a-7p on Sat & Sun (3 days off each week) Night/weekends 3p-11p Mon & Tue or Thur & Fri, then 7p-7a on Sat & Sun (3 days off each week) Want to talk about having a hard time getting into a set schedule. The only shift I hate the over night shifts, which is the only shift my wife hate as well. Alas though, it pays the bills has a decent amount of OT and we get paid really well for the inconvenience of the shift work. |
