I think I am leaning towards buying now....

I say buy it now, then you can have the wonderful decision whether to strap a s/c onto your SS or to move up to the Z.

Nope I wont be strapping a SC to it.... In my mind you cant "make" a Z/28 only GM can. So If I buy now I will be buying another one in 2 years if money allows.

I totally agree--that's the reason I don't put an SS hood on my Z now. I'm not suggesting you make a Z clone out of your SS, more of a Z killer

I'm paying down some student loans for the next 2 years. My decision now rests entirely on the Z's pricepoint. We'll see...

I know what your saying but for me its more of a heritage thing... I could make a Z/28 killer but I would still rather have a actuall Z/28 even if the car I made was better. I was raised a GM loving bowtie guy...

That makes sense. I'm not that into Camaro heritage (i used to be a Firebird guy), but I'd like to get the Z over an SC'ed SS because I have a Z now. It would be kinda cool to go from Z28 to Z28. Well, that and I'm sure the Z's got a forged crank at the very least.
