The '87 GNX really makes me shed a tear. The are only literally a handful of those cars in the world and even a completely junked up one could probably sell for more than 10x whatever that person got from C4C.

I was thinking about why they could have clunkered the GNX: It may have been a restore project that was drivable but with parts being short the guy decided to clunker the (probably) leaky, cracked, near blown engine.

I mean it was a GNX owner.. it had to have a damn good reason to clunker it. I'm banking that he stripped the sh!t out of the car before turning it in, rendering it at most a beat up old Grand national with the GNX VIN denoting that it WAS a GNX.

No one in the media has a calculator and does the simple math....because they are looking through Obama glasses, they ignore the truth...
Government reports that there were 700,000 contracts for cash for clunkers, about 50,000 maybe turned down and the dealers will either EAT the deals or try and get the consumer to pay the $4500, well, the government added 5000 people on the payroll to handle the "deals" now take out your calculator, divide 700,000 deals by 5000 people added on government payroll and that equals 140 contracts per person added on the government doles, now how long have these people been on the payroll, at least 45 days because the program is still trying to pay dealers, take the 140 contracts per employee and divide this by 45 days to work, that equals right now at 3 contracts per person that reports for work each day, and who knows when these people will be layed off, anyone in their right mind sees that anything the government does is bloated, too inefficient, and then people blindly want the government to handle their healthcare and medical records/ forms....right !! Why doesn't the so-called mainstream media do this same information ???? Anyone have an answer ??? The funny thing is going to be later this year the phone calls that people took advantage of the cash for clunkers will also be billed in their IRS taxes on income and state taxes from most states for the $4500....it just gets funnier by the minute !! Just my $.02

I guess that'll show joe blow who clunkered the GNX and the Aston. Both may be turned down.. Not to mention mr. '08 Mustang and '06 350Z.

Unhappy

went down the list and saw something that made me sick, 18 1988 pontiac fieros. of the 4 year run those are the hardest to find for a good price because they had the lotus suspension instead of the regular ones. my dad had a 88 formula model and that thing handled like a race car. one of my biggest car regrets was not buying it off of him (got my 88 camaro t top sport coupe instead ).
