Freshly Minted SS Driver
Hello Forum - just dropping a quick "Hello" to everyone.
Long time reader, first time poster. I have driven a Camaro as my primary day to day car since I bought my Silver 1998 V6 just out of High School in 2000. That was a very faithful car, fun to drive, LOVED the T-Tops and the Flowmaster Exhaust. It wasn't going to win any competitions on the track, but it was fun to drive. REALLY fun to drive. Drove it to the dealership for one last time in late March of 2014, with the engine mis-firing, transmission skipping, 280,000 miles and pieces of the dash and seat falling off during the drive there and traded it in for a new Ashen Gray 2014 2LS. It may have still been a V6... but it wasn't your daddy's V6 anymore. I loved that car too, treated it like a newborn baby as far as paint and interior care go (but lets be real, its a Camaro, so I did "drive" it) and kept all of its maintenance records, etc. etc. It was nice knowing for a fact that I knew EVERYTHING about the car's history. This was the car that turned me on to these forums, and I have been lurking ever since. Truth be told though, while the 2014 was fun... I wanted more. So a couple weeks ago I traded that one in and took delivery of a Silver 2017 1SS. Daddy like.... Although I have to admit, I am not used to the power yet.... I had to give it some gas to turn left the other day.... did an inadvertent burn out in the middle of the intersection.... did I mention this car is FUN TO DRIVE? |

Nice car! There is something about a brand new car! I've had quite a few and the first week or two is the best. Even with my 16 impala it was fun to have something new and shiny. Ha ha! Good luck!

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
![]() oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Conagrats! Beautiful car for sure.
I always advise - make sure it's pointed straight before you punch it for the first time! Mine feels like a Cheetah on a chain, wanting to get loose and run free all the time. It's pure joy to let it run :-)
