I went to the gym today (biceps, triceps, and back day) but was so miserably depressed (personal matter) that I just stared around and walked out without doing a single thing. Totally not my style but damn man it took it's toll on me. I'll knock it out extra hard tomorrow for sure though :/

It's not like I have totally fallen apart but I've get a ways to go to get back to the size and strength I was at.

It's hard to believe that a rotor cuff tendon could still be problematic 14 months after surgery but I can perform most of my usual exercises but I am still limited to weight on lifts that are effected by that tendon, which is most pressing and overhead work. I figure if I can get two solid months in the gym I'll bounce back somewhat quickly.
Sorry to hear about the rotor cuff tendon. I too just completed surgery of my left rotator cuff (10-17-16 was surgery date). Spent the next 95 days going thru PT. I have been back in the gym now for 6 weeks. Getting stronger with each work out, but have not been totally cleared by my surgeon for total all out workouts. (I see him Thursday this week). After talking to both my surgeon and PT person that highly recommend to never do military press again with a straight bar. Dumbbells only, allows the shoulder more freedom of movement. Also, by all means NEVER do another upright row fully. There are a few exercises I have now taken out of my mind. Time to work on other movements, more reps, less weight. Tone again what little I have.....LOL. Will post some pictures again later this summer.

It's one of those repairs that take time to recover, for the most part I am good but there is 1 spot, a few degrees above parallel, that if I am not very controlled in movement with feels like you were jabbed with an ice pick. Thing is you hit that spot all the time I suppose that's why it tore to begin with. Lol

Sorry to hear. I know what that is like. I went through it in December having to put one of my dogs to sleep.

I wish you well and get back at it! You will feel better!

Ty sir, was just a temporary issue that I got control over. Went in yesterday and killed it! I work late today so I'm going in in a few minutes and knock out legs (I hate leg day). Diet is going ok but I need to increase my cardio. My biggest issue right now is my 10.9% bf. I'm teying to get down to around 8%. Last year I staggered around 6% but was too skinny although pretty cut imho.

That sucks, been there with previous dogs, harder than letting some people go.

I was curious, you mentioned your size/weight etc. but I didn't see an age?

I'm 31. I'll post a gym pic later tonight. And yes I was devastated 5 years age when I had to put my min pin down (it was very brutal, had to take a full week off work) He went with my everywhere 24/7 from 2007 til 2011. Took his last breath in my arms, It hurts absolutely no less today than it did June 1 2011.

This was my first time going through it. She was my best friend of 14-15 years.

When I read y'alls post I watched a slideshow I have on my phone of different memories of Sadie. I keep waiting for the day when I can watch it, not cry, and not have my heart physically hurt.

Sorry Mydivorcegift, that day will never happen. All those memories are tied to emotions, and those emotions are just as strong today, as they will be tomorrow. But don't ever see it as a sad thing, but a joyous part of your life.

I hear you and I am trying to do the highlighted part....guess it is just too soon.

So Monique is 70th worldwide in the open in her age group of 17400 or so entrants. She is about to do 17.2 in just a minute. Not really in her wheelhouse but at least going into it now she knows she can do the muscle ups as opposed to last year she couldn't.

17.2 last night. She will do it again Monday and should improve. 108 reps total.

Had my final weigh in for the Nutrishop challenge today. 8 weeks ago I was 238.8......after my morning run weighed in at 213.7.

Going to slowly progress down to 200.

Hey guys, I don't post here much. I had a headlamp on my RS go out so I was online today researching before I made a purchase and stumbled across this thread. I've been lifting for years so I couldn't not post

I'm 5ft 8in, anywhere from 210 (tan picture) to 225 (ocean picture) depending on my goals at the moment. Currently I'm about 225lbs.

Bench: 390lbs
Squat: 485lbs
Deadlift: 465lbs

I hit each muscle group once a week, usually 5 days a week but lately I've been doing a 4 day split (I'm not fond of it so far - I find BB shrugs weakens my grip for the rest of my back exercises). I usually do about 4-5 exercises, 4-5 sets and work in the 4-12 rep range typically, 80% 1RM weight and up. I do go light periodically to give my CNS a break or for certain lifts (flyes for example). Feel free to PM me for any questions.

Day 1 - chest
Day 2 - legs
Day 3 - off
Day 4 - shoulders/trap/back
Day 5 - deadlift/arms
Day 6-7 - off

test booster?
anyone try em?
I'm 46 and stuck at 225 bench.

it seems no matter how hard I work I'm stuck here at this size....im not unhappy.... I take whey protein pre and post...I get enough of that and am happy with my current physique.
I was just curious if its worth it and what brand is the most effective.
