The Waiver system gives everyone a fair chance to pick up the hot players each week... If 3 teams want to pick up say Mark Sanchez they would all make their add and the one with the lowest waiver number 1 through 12 would get him... Once he does pick up Sanchez his waiver number is re-set back to 12 and yours would move up one so your chances of getting the next player increases. Some leagues will reset this number each week 1-12 giving the lowest scoring team the number 1 waiver, but since we are playing for blood it does not re-set like this.

This is only for 2 days after completion of the weeks games... After that it's first come first serve. Also if you drop a player he goes on waivers for 2 days which gives everyone else in the league a fair chance to pick them up since they were not in the free agent pool before.

Can be a strategic move sometimes to keep your #1 waiver number and pick your players up after the waiver period (if it's someone no one else would be getting) in case something crazy happens like Barry Sanders un-retires...

See your waiver number on the right... If I wanted the same player you would get him.

Mlee explained it correctly. Everyone is given priority based on their draft order. Last pick in the draft gets first waiver priority. Since I'm 3rd, I should be getting the person I want unless priority 1 or 2 want that same player and aren't waiting until they become free agents.

Mlee, weren't you the one that made the comment that someone needs to play me to get a win, or was it the bengals or someone else?

Congrats on the 2-0 club. We should get jackets or something for being undefeated so far.

4 career games in the past two weeks for players on your team. That doesn't happen very often. Also, based on your week 4 matchup, SD plays the steelers. Polamalu should be healthy again by then, so we'll see how you do against soltice (also undefeated for the moment). He's got a few people facing TB that week, so it'll be an interesting season to say the least.

During week 7 when I play PQ, pittsburgh def against det should get me a lot of points, and schaub should have another 300+ day against ARI weak secondary.
