Windows 7, what Vista Should of Been.

Well guys just upgraded my laptop from Vista Business to Windows 7. Can we say night and day. Machine is very quick now and IE is very fast compared to slow and sluggish on Vista. And yes I just installed it as an upgrade and everything is great so far.

Thought I would give you the heads up.

ditto, been running the RC for a few months on a desktop and laptop for testing..much better than Vista

Well I am a Microsoft Partner so this is also the real Windows 7. It is even nicer than the RC versions.

Sweet deal. I never had Vista though, so I'm sure I got saved some headaches.

You are right... the retail version will not be out until October, but there are RC versions , and some OEM versions out there

i've been using the RC on my laptop for a few months now, i'm impressed with it. i kept putting it off and missed out on the pre-order 1/2 price deal so i'll probably keep using my RC until the spring (before if locks me out). then i'll figure out if i want to upgrade, reinstall vista

, or put XP pro on.

but if scott says that his version is even better than the RC..... i may just have to go for this.

Will the retail 7 disc install right over the RC? or is that gonna require a clean install

Glad to hear it Scott.... I have the free upgrade disc coming in a few weeks! Always love the I.T. advice - especially since I'm out of I.T. now for a few years!
