I think the ridiculously short lot time for Raptors is an anomomele.

I dont know why they sell so quick, but it sure isnt because everyone wants to run a jr baja in them.

I'd love to see a slightly lowered 2018, 2 door, short bed f-150 with the 10sp and the next gen 3.5 eco as a Lightning option.

Different facia and some sporty 19-20" wheels...

Yum.

Would it sell though? Meh... who knows

6+ years is not an anomaly. A year or two is a trend.. up until the first gen Raptor was discontinued sales remained ridiculously strong.. even when gas was $3.50 or more a gallon.

The 2nd gen Raptor looks to start exactly where the 1st gen Raptor left off.

The NG Ranger makes a much better case for a "street truck". Being 7/8 of F-150 should offer benefits in the weight and maybe even the structural rigidity departments.

The raptor is not a sicker package. Its a real upgrade. If it was built by GM I would have bought one.

People who don't own a trailer buy diesels. They just want to look cool and say they have a bad ass truck.

Looking on getting a truck in the next 2 weeks Ram is at the top of my list Crew 4x4 sport nav. I have a price of 40k if I was to get a Ford or GM I would be paying 56k easy. I like the look of the Ford but don't really like the look of the GM plus the fact that a guy I work with has the Sierra and the paint on the tail gate bubbled up with rust after 1 year. Ford is pushing their V6 ecoboost but I have talked to people that have had them and didn't like them in the end.

I have a 2010 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 litre HEMI, crew cab laramie package. I would definitely recommend the Ram. Great power, excellent interior, looks good, fits the whole family what more could you ask for. I have looked at and drove the Ford, GM and chevy trucks lately because I was considering trading my truck in but the Ram is just better in all departments if you ask me.

You're correct, I may have been drinking and used the completely wrong word.

Instead of anomaly, I should have said that truck selling so well goes against what I would expect in an auto market.

I've been a GM tech for about 10 years, haven't seen any rusting issues, very odd. Assuming your coworker bought it brand new I would think it had been repaired before he bought it by the dealer, perhaps a transport or lot damaged tail gate. I am however disappointed in the quality of the paint on my 15. It chips like a MOFO.

It was a brand new truck a green black colour, looked like black till you get up close. It was a 14 I think, GM had to redo the tailgate under warranty but he had to push to get it done as it was not rusted through.

I've been advocating GM bring Utes stateside for a while. In both its utilitarian and performance forms.
That's straight up bada$$
Didn't realise this type vehicle lasted beyond the subaru baja...
