Why only Ford trucks Hype??

Hey guys, I know this is not a truck forum but, I just want to put this out their as this is, in essence, a Chevy GM product area. I don't know if its just me or I'm looking for love in the wrong places but, it seems that the research I'm doing for a good full sized pick up truck leads me to Ford all the time. Am I doing something wrong? Or, does Ford have better marketing. PS, I'm kind of a chevy kind of guy at heart and at the very minimum, I'm partial to Dodge Ram. Do you guys have any thoughts? Thanks.

I'd buy a truck that didn't get holes in it just by putting stuff in the bed (ford). I prefer GMC over Chevy based on the looks. I also like the Tundra. The new Titan is such a blatant F-150 copy. Bleah

We wound up buying a 2013 F150 with 50k miles because trucks are so damn expensive here in Texas. It was the best price and we had enough cash for it. I tried to steer her to a Chevy because I prefer them generally, but It's my wife's purchase. She was partial to our 2003 dodge that got totaled. We were looking for reasonable miles and a reasonable price, and needed another vehicle asap.

That said I did enjoy my previous 2012 F150, put an intake and a tune on it and it was pretty solid. The coyote is a good engine. I bought the 2012 because it just had more bang for the buck than the Chevy's did. More power, better towing, better trans, better price, etc. Still didn't much like the look of it, or the interior, or a lot of things, but I didn't care so much as it was for hauling dirt bikes and race bikes around.

It's a cool marketing trick with the rocks in the bed punching holes in it - but with a rhino liner that's not gonna happen anyway. We're not landscapers lol.

I hate the Ford "jiggle" though. Drives me nuts. Thankfully I drive the Camaro 99% of the time.

We tried to find a newer Dodge Ram, but just couldn't find one with the miles/price that was right. Chevy's, same story, and sadly my wife didn't care for them as much aesthetically.

Buy what you like. I bought the 2012 F150 simply due to function/form and it was cheap.

You really can't go wrong with any of the Big Three's full size trucks.

My dealership sells Ford and Chevy. I am a Chevy tech, when work on the Chevy side gets slow I work on Ford's. The Ford guys have never worked on a Chevy. Take that for what it's worth.

Google tuneup's for Ford F150 V8's. Monumental Pain in the ass! The only Ford truck worth considering would be the Raptor 1st gen, otherwise GM or Dodge for me.

I may be nutts but, the Chevy & Ram trucks look better & make better power as the stock models than the Fords. The Fords get pricy outside of the lower end, lower power Ecoboost. I may be corrected by the smart guys on this forum but, then again, I'm in New Jersey and everything is more expensive here!

This ^

You really can't go wrong with a truck from Ford, GM or Ram. They are all going to do what you want them to do. A lot of it will come down to personal preference on things like looks, interior lay out etc.

F150 is the best selling truck for quite some time now, i think even the best selling vehicle. Correct me if I'm wrong.
