Oh of course, that stinks the gearing is that short

It's a necessary byproduct of having a hp biased, higher revving engine. It doesn't bother me at all, it actually is quite fun to row through the gears.

Now we're left wonder if Ford will release the new numbers for Mustang first . . . or F-150 first and let us stew on what those numbers mean for Mustang.

Now the 6th gen' Camaro looks a lot better. It looks really bad IMO. I hope it will look better in person..

10 speed auto and hp bump will put it real close to the Camaro. Now its rape fest.

I really don't think it looks bad. That initial "leaked" video didn't do it any favors, neither did that colour in the light it was shot in. But if you give it a chance it's a nice change.

Especially looking at them in direct comparison you can see the '18 is indeed more aggressive than the '15-'17.

Definitely looks better in darker colors (as does the Corvette), but the catfish face is extremely hard to miss.

Looks ok. Looks like a shaved current Mustang. I do prefer the current style though. The car designs in general are a hit or miss. Sometimes the designers end up compromising an already good design.

One thing I'll give Mustang credit for is that they have kept the Upper-grille much larger than the Lower-grille....I wish Camaro had done the same...

At the rate Camaro is going, it's upper grille should soon disappear completely...Not good..

Am I the only one that thinks that new one is barely distinguishable from the old one?

I mean, sure, you can tell that they are different. But, look at the above.

- Headlights - virtually identical
- Upper grille - same
- Lower grille - very similar
- Hood - slightly different; same dimensions, just different crease and heat extractor location
- Fog lights - only real difference; and, even then, no more different than the same-year LT and SS Camaro

The cars look identical from the side. And the rear is almost like fraternal twins.

It was just a mid cycle refresh, i don't many expected it to make a drastic change exterior styling wise.

I'm going to contact my stock broker immediately and invest every penny I have in companies that make aftermarket hoods for the Mustang. :-) On a serious note, it doesn't look that bad, but I'm a little disappointed. The mustang is such a beautiful beast, and I was hoping Ford would give it a slightly meaner/edgier look up front.

I feel the opposite. I think the late 5th gen refresh made the car look much more aggressive with the smaller upper grille, the early 5th gens to my eyes looked very soft. Not to mention most of the cooling is needed down low.
