Headers with cat-pipe or no cat-pipe or HF cats

I was looking to install long tube headers on my camaro, but i dont want it to go into limp mode do i need high flow cats or will i be fine with just a cat pipe? I need answers please. Thank you for any help

It wont go into limp mode if you do everything right (remove plugs so you DO NOT damage them, clip the plug wires tight and do not forget to unplug battery)

You will get a CEL whatever you get either of these; with or without CATS and catted mid pipe too. I tried it and it always come on, even with the 02 bung extensions. Just get it and dont care. Order a cheap scanner on ebay to remove CEL when going to dealer and its fine.

Get 2'' headers with CATS to avoid gas odor or no CATS for more sound and more gas fumes.

What WHAMMO said. I have LT's with off-road Cats. Programmed out the CEL for O2 sensors and good to go.

California may take a dim view of your mods . If you do get headers 1 7/8 is as big as you want to go on a stock NA car.
