I removed the front pads and took them to Oreilly to compare with the Corvette C7 pads and Locktyght is correct. They area a match!. The ones at Oreilly did not have the support tabs that extend to the rear of the wheel well. Oreilly also didn't have any ceramics available in store or order, so I took that info home and ordered the following online from Rockautoparts.

Power Stop 161474A - front (includes support tabs) (corvette C7 pads)
Power Stop 161718 - rear (Camaro 6 pads with front Brembo)

I will post here after these arrive and I confirm they fit. Cost $50.19 shipped for all four after $2.12 discount.

I will also post on how they feel when stopping. I'm assuming they will be a bit softer which is okay with me.

And....yes I understand these pads are not competition grade.

This is great info. Thanks for posting. I have read the info in the Z16, Z23 and Z26. The Z16 are OEM spec so I would guess they would be more practical for street use. Is that the reason you decided on the Z16?

I switched my brembo to powerstop a couple months ago....normal driving i notice no difference in braking...and biggest plus....zero dust....below is part of an email i got back from powerstop when i asked them a question about Gen 6 fitment...

For your vehicle, I would recommend our Z26 brake pads do to the fact that this vehicle has 455 hp. Also our Z26 brake pads will provide low to almost no brake dust. The correct part number for your front brake pads is Z26-1474a and the rear is Z26-1718

Ditto....After break-in, stopping is just as good as OEM as far as initial bite and overall stopping power. NO dust.

You can use 1474's on the front...The only difference from the "A" version is the shape of the vibration damper weights.

I'll post something if I find out. I really hope to find a set of ceramic pads.

I understand waxing and other protective solutions will help, but I'd prefer changing the pads.
It looks like 67CamaroSS350 was told the 1718 pads and 1474 pads on a 2017 2SS Anniversary will not work. I am so confused. Does the 2017 2SS use the same pads as 2016 2SS? It looks like the responses from above are for 2016 SS's.

I just got off the phone with Power Stop. The tech guy says the same thing 67CamaroSS350 said that they did change the brake pads for 2017. The new Power Stop Number is 16-1886 for the fronts and 16-1914 for the rears but they will not be available for another month as they are on order for distribution. So I guess I will just have to wait.

I contacted PowerStop and they didn't have anything helpful or to suggest other than they'd contact me back if they have more info. Being impatient, I took the matter into my own hands and did what I explained in my earlier post.

I have not received the ordered pads as of yet. Hopefully they come in tomorrow.

So the 2017 pads are infact different than the 2016's or are we only talking about those who opted for the 6 piston Brembos?
