I vote sequential...

Takes the best of both manual and automatic and puts them together.

Auto trans mated to a non DOD L99. Done and done.

Direct inject the sob, and program faster shift times. There's your answer. C'mon GM..

What kid of guarantee are you offering? I much prefer driving my automatic over my manual car. I'm past the age of trying to impress someone and just like to go out and cruise. And your right the manual vs. automatic thing is stupid, but the stupidest comments always come from the "manual" crowd. I mean just look above a few post. Someone saying they wouldn't disgrace their camaro with an automatic... how stupid a comment is that?

Lookie here, I have a car with a manual transmission
Do I get to join your "manly" club? Hey it also doesn't have power steering. Does that make me extra manly?
Really the whole "I'm superior if I drive a manual" thing has really gotten old and could use a rest. I have a sense of humor but don't think it's too funny to single out about half of the members of this board because THEY didn't buy what you like.

the list in short:

10. A manual transmission is the ultimate in control
9. You can use automotive jargon and not sound like a total tool
8. You can't spell "manual" without "man"
7. Manual transmissions prove you can do more than one thing at a time
6. You can't drift in an auto
5. You can't pull fancy moves in an automatic
4. You get better fuel economy with a stick
3. You’ll never look like a chump if you can drive stick
2. Manual transmission cars are faster
1. Women like a guy who is good with his hands.

My last Camaro had a th350 with a reverse manual valve body w/trans brake. Im more manley then the straight up stick guys...because I said so.

Now that above argument is just as stupid as someone thinking they are more manley because they drive a stick. LOL.

Ill stick to my age old saying from sources unknown.

Stick shifts impress high school girls.
Automatics win races.
