Loosing your starting QB and RB isn't a Drop off?

nope..especially when the defense is stronger...everyoneknows Gray is better than Cox thats why we are running dual qb's and...we have 4 strong backs that are faster and stronget than moreno...2 were just hurt last year and our receiving corps are stronger

Gray may be better than Cox, but that doesn't mean hes as good as/better than Stafford was.

AJ Green is a quality receiver and likely your best offensive player, but he was there last year.... And the tailbacks (though they might be bigger or stronger) have put up worse numbers than Moreno did against average/good opposition. For instance, Samuel your teams leading rusher only put up 65 yards on 15 carries against SC.

Im not saying you guys can't play offense, I'm saying you cant do it as well as you did last year.

Ok. State just lost to who again?

Kansas? KANSAS?
So teams that lose are not considered tests? Ranked teams are not tests? What the heck is a test then? I guess undefeated teams do not classify as a test either, because Kansas and Texas Tech are both undefeated.

You said Miami survived its biggest test. So which was it, Georgia Tech or now-unranked FSU? You know, Miami plays Virginia Tech in Blacksburg next week, right? Then OU the following weekend.

None of them are teams that should beat Texas

Tests are teams that can compete with and have a chance of beating the said team

You really want me to dig up some crappy lesser division team that happens to have won their first 2 games to prove that winning your first 2 doesn't mean you can compete with big time teams?

GT

VT has been limping around this season, they are no better than FSU. And OU? OU has lost their two best players and from what I've seen of them they dont look like they can get out of their own way. Yes that's an exaggeration and Yes I expect Miami to beat them.... GT, FSU, and Miami could all take down OU right now imo. Their D is way to good for a team to come at them with one dimension which is what OU has become loosing their two best Offensive players....

Brother you are sadly mistaken..you are basing that off of two games of this season..thats not possible..do you kow how many starters we had injured last year and those playing not at 100%...mark my word..save this post..we are way better than last year

All I am saying is your no better at the skill position players (QB, RB, WR...) , I cant speak for everyone else. You would know better than I, I'm not even trying to argue that.

what was your record last year? I guess that will be the best determining factor once its all said and done...

We are way better at Running Back Moreno basically had to carry the load last year...now on any given Saturday we have 4 guys who can step into that role and compete for starting...when Shockely sat on the bench for 4 years he came right in and led us to the best season in a while..Cox followed that same system...last year (10-3) (6-2SEC)

So is a test a matchup with a team that a. should beat you, or a team that b. can compete with and have a chance at beating you.

I may have to eat crow tomorrow, but I believe Texas Tech is a test for Texas. We've had a ridiculously productive offense for nearly a decade now. We won't miss a beat offensively. Crabtree and Harrell were Texas Tech record breakers, but they weren't responsible for the defensive effort last year. Texas is just as untested this year. They are ranked #2 based on opinion and last year's performance right now. La Monroe and Wyoming didn't test them.

A Test is a team that stands a fair chance of coming away with a win

Sorry, thats the first time I've ever heard anyone mention 'Texas Tech' and 'Defense' in the same sentance without the word 'Horrific' lol. I don't think that game is going to be close, and if it is, than it says more about Texas being over rated than anything else. Texas has the players, the home field, and the motivation. If they cant come out and knock you guys out than it says something about their program...
