Totally agree.
I watched the 1st episode 4 times. I could barely get through the 2nd one.

I thought the first episode was a pretty solid outing. The second...not so much. However, there are some things that I felt need to be worked on or worked out of the show.
Spoilers below - I know the series is only two episodes in, but I'm kinda wondering why they're bothering with moving about from location to location each episode (especially with the show title being what it is...), whilst hardly featuring any (or in the first episode, none at all) segments focused on the location they're filming from. I mean, they're hosting the first episode in Cali, but all the car-related segments were shot in Portugal or the UK. The second episode was slightly better, where they featured the guy who built his own Sauber C9 using a die-cast model as a reference was pretty cool; I would've liked to learn more about that then the segment where a bunch of clapped-out E30 3-series BMWs are doing donuts in a parking lot at night, which entertained me as much as it apparently did James... I hope in later episodes that they make better use of the locations they're hosting from. - "The American". I'll admit, I found one or two of the things he said made me chuckle a bit ("this ain't a car....it's a cry for help"), but most of his 'commentary' falls flat for me, along with the 'if it ain't 'murican and ain't got a V-8 it's communist' shtick (although, given I have relatives halfway around the world with commie neighbors playing with nukes and having a rather large array of artillery pieces pointed in their general direction, along with them directly and indirectly having tried (unsuccessfully, thankfully) killing both of my parents around 1953 and 1966-68, among other reasons, I don't like communists very much myself, but I digress...). - "Celebrity Brain Crash" - the bit where Hawkeye falls to his death, along with the other two getting themselves 'killed' off was pretty funny the first time, but with 'Charlize Theron' getting mauled/eaten by a lion in episode two, this segment is already pretty stale to me... - The segment where the trio attempt to play SF operators made me want to get off the couch and walk away. It just looked and felt so forced and scripted, with a car 'review' slapped on as an afterthought. They've done military-related shows far better than this (Challenger Mk. 2 tank vs Range Rover, Apache vs. Exige, or Clarkson storming a beach with the Royal Marines in a Fiesta to name a few...). Overall, still good to see the trio back in action, and better than the first season of Clarkson/Wilman's Top Gear back in '02 (so far)...

Second episode was naearly unwatchable. The only redeeming segment was on the Vulcan. Nearly a 'racist segment' about the president of South Africa. I guess the follow ups of Clarkson mispeaking on numbers made it 'funny'.

My only complaint is it seems a bit too scripted. Other than, the chemistry between the three is so great you could stick them in a room watching paint dry for the duration of the episode and I'd probably watch the whole thing lol

As bad as the second episode was, the third one has hit the mark. Glad to see them getting into their comfort zone again. They should just drop the celebrity brain crap segment. N ice to see the Hellcat take on the astin martin on the track. The fat cat did incredible well for costing 150,000 dollars less. Hope the next episode keeps up to the third shows standard.

Is it me and it may just be, but doesnt it seem like this show is WAY more scripted than Top Gear ever was? It almost seems like they're trying to hard.

I think it's actually better... less controlled, maybe, since it's on Amazon and not BBC. I love Celebrity Brain Crash... how the are killing them off. LOL!!!!

The 4th episode wasn't too shabby either. I really enjoy when they have to craft their own cars and what not. Also, that 911 GT3 RS is beautiful. Saw a white one with black accents at my last cars and coffee.

Fifth episode was alright. Found the Battleship game to be entertaining haha. Other than that, I think this was my least favorite episode so far in the series
