When I ordered my car there were limited stripe packages, I wanted the Hockey Stripe so I had to get the solid center stripe. I get my car tomorrow and it will take a couple of weeks before I end up at the stripers I think (out of town trip coming up) and I am pondering a couple of options:

Well besides that I have already paid for one set, the hockey stripe / solid center stripe, and paid installation I am not sure I want to start from scratch.

I don't mind an extra $400 to get what I want, but what would painting them on be a grand or so, not to mention having the find a paint shop I could trust to do it right.

I do like the idea though.

Any idea how much? It would seem to me they would need to sand the depth of the stripe paint and sealer, build it up and sand it flush withouth messing with the rest of the paint. If it was not flush I think paint would be a problem.
