I'm a big Adam's polishes fan. I use the interior and leather cleaner for the plastic trim followed by leather and trim dressing. For cloth seats and carpet I would use the carpet and upholstery cleaner. But that's just me, I'm by no means a professional detailer. I just like my car shiny and I've been very happy with my success with Adams products.

Apparently they have a new odor eliminator. I haven't tried it yet so I wouldn't know. But those products I recommended wont do anything smell wise they just clean.

My Saturn Ion would sometimes get a mildew smell because the drainage thing for the sunroof would get unplugged from the trunk liner and leak water into the trunk. I would stick an air cleaner for the house in the car for the night with the doors and windows closed. That would fix the smell problem.

Not sure if this is your problem, but one i've ran into: the hvac system in most cars condensates; between night/day and hot/cold settings, causing mildew you smell everytime it kicks on... There's products for this, but just turning the car on and blasting the heat on full for 10-15min takes care of it.

Good idea to replace the cabin filter at the same time... I run into this constantly when I store my cars; Glen also suggested giving the cabin air filter a spritz of a scent you enjoy, then everytime the hvac is on you have a pleasant smell (i'm trying this out in the spring once the Camaro is out of storage)

PS... Please don't hate me, I'm an old man (32 lol)
