GM's 100,000 Mile Warranty

Can anyone tell me if GM'S 100k warranty transfers to the 2nd owner?

Or does it downgrade to a 60,000 when a 2nd owner buys it?

I ask this because my wife's stupid Kia only has a 60,000 mile warranty on it because she got it used. Kia has the 100,000 mile warranty for their new cars since 2004 i believe.

I just wondered because if the new Equinox holds up reliability wise my wife and I may consider one in a few years as a used purchase.

The warranty goes with the car , not the owner.

From the FAQ it looks like yes, it is fully transferrable.

Keep in mind you might need service records from the previous owner for warranty work. I am not sure, but I believe GM certified used cars carry a 'refreshed' warranty and you wouldnt have to worry about that.
