Got to the dealership about 11am. Talked with the Salesman, made sure we had everything to trade in the Sonic and then went to look at the car. Their washing crew is pretty good, as they also deal in a lot of vettes and Camaros (like Becky), so them washing and prepping the car wasn't a scary thing. As we were looking over the car, saw a small scratch on the headlight. Maybe 2" long, horizontal, like something struck it. Rest of the car looked great, but I wasn't happy about the headlight.

I spoke with the salesman, and pointed out I wasn't happy about that and would like that taken care of. "No problem Hank, let me speak with the manager". I guess, at that point, the manager wanted to talk to me, and well 'essentially' tells me there was nothing "they" could do with it. I mean he was nice, direct, a little firm in his tone. And I let him talk and explain his side of the story for about 5 minutes why they can't do anything to help me out. Then it was my turn to speak, and for those they have met me or seen me in person, getting on my bad side, or telling me 'I will have to live with it', wasn't something I was going to do. Now I get to speak, and it started like this "...Brad, I don't give a f*ck what you have to do to get this right, and if it takes ordering or finding a new car, I don't have god d*mn problem with that either. You can fix it by taking the light off another Cruze, you have 6 on the lot. But I am not taking a car with a visual scratch on it. So we can sit here and discuss what you want, or what you cannot do, and if your dealership wants to sell a car off the lot today, or order me a new one.". Brad says it could be up to six weeks to get another car, and not sure where we are in needing it. I tell Brad that I don't "need" a car till 2017, so I can take the Sonic back home and come back when I feel like dealing with them again. Brad says he will look into it.

Brad returns in 10 minutes and says they will be replacing the light, and it will be about an hour because they have to take off the bumper. I tell Brad not a problem, get to it. I turn to the salesman Bo and tell him I need a car to go eat lunch. I get a brand new 2016 Camaro SS to drive off the lot. We get a call as we are finishing up lunch that the car is ready. We return, check it all out, do the paperwork and we are off with a new Cruze. I got some pics, and will have to post later.

I don't think Brad likes me, nor wants to see me again. But who gives a crap about Brad, it's not his money or his car. My salesman Bo was awesome and a real down to earth guy, treated us with respect and addressed our concerns. But Brad, he got what was coming to him.

Sat was spent polishing and sealing it, along with some plumbing I had to get done due to new countertops and sink and faucet in the kitchen.
here. just take my lunch money

Focus ST over both IMO. Only downside is it only comes in manual.

Everything about buying a Camaro has been awesome. My dad had an '87 iroc z/28 when I was young and I always loved going for a ride in it. So I grew up, buckled down, and got my own memory maker. It's my first manual car too. It's crazy how such a commonly seen car (compared to like Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.) becomes a conversation piece. I always have people stop and talk to me about it. Love it! And these forums are a blast to research on. So many knowledgeable people and experiences to read about. Wouldn't trade it
Welcome aboard!

I've been entertaining that idea too but then, Ford's build quality is laughable and the dealers around here make you jump through hoops for warranty work. I've also been looking at used c5 vettes, GTOs, G8s, WS6 trans am, Gen 4 Camaro, Mini cooper S and JCW, Ion Redline, SRT-4 Neon/Caliber, Cobalt SS. So, I'm not exactly sure.

I also prefer chevy and new due a family member being a GM retiree. So I don't have to price haggle and go through any BS.

I used to not think anything about the Mini, but those things are pretty quick with bolt ons. I'd love to get a hawkeye STi hatch, but reliability is horrible.

some pics after a good bath. Tint guy comes next week to add a little finishing touch to it.

I got two coats of sealant and a coat of wax after a good polishing. Took a couple days due to my busy schedule, but it came out great. I need to do a little cleaning on the inside but so far, the we are enjoying the Cruze. The ride, handling, comfort level and 'gadgets' are very nice.

That's NA for me. Also on street tires. Putting the slicks on this Friday to crack into the 11's. the 2.1 60' time is hurting my times lol.

My car has 1.49-1.55 60fts, (did with a Powerglide anyway) 7.2 to the 1/8 and 11.55-11.62 in the 1/4 running out of gear at 900ft. You should be around 1.8 with your setup.

I used to laugh at minis. My friend used to have an 07 mini S 6 spd. That car ran. They are pretty quick, have a nice interior and handle like go carts. I really want a C5 Z06.

Looks good. I would be enjoying not filling up every week.
