LS Miata with Magnaflow Exhaust

Hey guys, just thought we'd drop in and share the latest development by the team over at Flyin Miata. What they did was take a new ND Miata, a car already well-known for its superb handling characteristics, and give it the type of power it deserves by swapping in an LS3 crate motor. To make the car road legal, a pair of our catalytic converters were used, followed by our mufflers to bring out the deep muscle sound everyone loves. Flyin Miata has taken extra time to make sure things such as the power steering, push-start button, and factory gauges all function with the new motor in order to make this swap completely seamless for the driver.

All said and done with 4 more cylinders, big brake kit, and beefier LSD, this swap only adds 250lbs to the Miata, and changes the weight distribution by a mere 1%. The final product is a smog-legal car with all the factory amenities that can outperform just about anything else in the same price range, and is a blast to drive on both the street and track.

Flyin Miata is offering these as a complete turn-key build, and gives you the option to choose from 3 different LS motors. For more info, you can visit FM's page here:

I heard the chirps too. What sort of actual times has this thing produced? [I saw the reference to 'will beat 3.8 sec 0-60', but has it?]

We have not seen any official numbers yet, most likely because the build was just recently completed, but we're sure FM will have that info shortly.
