Only a second or so slower to that mark than the Camaro SS with its stonking 455 hp 6.2 liter V-8.
How often while driving one of them would you regret not having purchased the V-8? The answer is not very often.
At 60MPH 1 second is 5.5 Camaro lengths.

This forum is riddled with defectors. So I would say pretty often.

I'm holding out with a few others on here like Trent and Derek; however, we are far from a stock v6. Only car I would even think about would be a new upcoming C7 ZR1 and potentially the unreleased C6 Z/28. However, they would not replace inferno, just less space in the garage

I can certainly appreciate what you have done. You don't need a V8 when you can beat most of them.

This kind of makes me think of Jay Lenno. Where do Jet engines fit into this debate? Lol

That's nuts. I just watched them put a Ford V6 Ecoboost in a Pantera on Fast N Loud.

To me those guys are pretty much hacks compared to the likes of Chip Foose or Kindig another top builders, but it was pretty cool.

Can't knock people for staying within their budget.

With that said, I can't even kid myself. I once made the mistake of getting the V6 Charger because I thought it was a better deal. Had it for a month and traded for the RT right after my wife blew me away in her new HEMI-equipped Grand Cherokee. Lost thousands on the trade and was happy to do it.

Also had a WRX for barely a year and traded it for the STi.

Nowadays I don't even try to kid myself - it's the fast model or nothing. I just bought a 2SS a couple weeks ago and I'm already looking at bolt-ons. I'd be driving the ZL1 right now if the price tag didn't cause so much grief with the wife.

Aren't you the guy that said 10's would be doable and 9's would be a "breeze" with your set up? You accomplished that yet ?

Waiting for more parts to arrive and be installed. And I believe it was 10's would be a breeze and 9's doable

Can't rush perfection...custom parts need to be designed, shipped, installed. Stuff needs to be kinked out and she needs to be tuned. And remember she is being daily driven so I wait until I can get a lot of the work done at once.

So what your saying is you haven't done it, and no time slip. Gotcha no need to use so many words when a simple "no not yet" would suffice. Another owner with more power than you hit LOW 11's. Better hurry to those 9's lol.

No and I explained why. I'm not worried, he already has forged internals and im about to build the whole block and do a tranny swap. If you are so worried about my build you can contribute with resources, research or better yet just worry about your build unless you plan on keeping a stock v8 with less power than a v6 on stock bottom end.

I'm rooting for Trent to break 11 seconds. I have nothing against him and we are going in different directions with our builds.

Any actual videos of track times or was your quote of "10s being a breeze" engineering math ?
