If you own the V8 and can't take a crap, you're driving it wrong.

Same reason there's no V6 Vipers. A company can only sellout to profit so far without damaging the brand in the eyes of the car guys. GM draws the line at the Camaro, Dodge draws the line at the Challenger/Charger. However, companies appealing to yuppies and ricers can get away with anything.

Must be why the cops don't like them.

I didn't include Ford because their customers have been OK with a puny 5.0 for the longest time. They'll bite on anything you give em too. Duh, we don't need no independent rear suspension, duh...

It's also an attempt to con the mugs. They see the writing on the EPA wall and are trying to wean their customers off the V8. Ooooooo, look at that shiny object with the V6! I want one in my Mustang too! On second thought make it a 4 banger. I've even seen Motor Trend commenting that the Camaro 4 cylinder turbos have such a great power to weight ratio it puts the ZL1 V8 to shame. Soon the only performance cars will be electric ones.

BTW, If you want to talk about 6 cylinder "supercars," a car that does 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds is a supercar? Then what is the Porsche 911 S that does it in 2.5 seconds. I read an article in Topspeed where they said they were glad the GT had "traditional" rear wheel drive rather than all wheel drive. Because that made it "a true driver's car." No balking about the 6 banger and praise for rear wheel drive on a $400k car. Yep. Con the mugs.

From an EPA perspective V6 owners are subsidizing V8 owners. We should thank them. Their frugality is our joy! And if they can enjoy their cars even though two cylinders are missing, all the better. It's a win win situation all around.

Because there's absolutely nothing wrong with a V6 twin turbo supercar that is a 10 second car right off the lot.

Just ask the Nissan GT-R... supercar killer for around the same price as the new z06 Vette.

Well... not anymore, over the most recent 1-2 years they've been jacking up the price significantly.

But don't let that deter you from it's prime days a few years back when it was like 70-90k to get a GT-R that kept up with Lambo's....

As were some 55's. Straight 6, not V6.

Ford GT supercar is not made to go stop light to stop light. It is an all around performer; top end speed, track performance, acceleration, P/W ratio.......the race doesn't end at 60mph lol
