Interesting things to do in the United States
So I've developed a friendship with an engineer on international assignment here at work. His family will be here from Korea for the next 8 weeks and I'm trying to think of fun and interesting things to do in Michigan while they are here. He is the only one who speaks English, his youngest is like 14 so they aren't old enough to enjoy our breweries but could do adventure stuff just fine.
Ideas?

I'm not from Michigan, but I occasionally visit Wisconsin... which I guess makes me a tourist to the region.
I enjoy swimming in the Great Lakes (in my opinion, Lake Superior offers the best freshwater swimming anywhere!). Perhaps boating on smaller lakes might appeal to your guests, or even fishing. A visit to Chicago would certainly be in order, and must include Willis Tower. A little time in Canada might be cool, too, and they can check one more international destination off of their bucket lists! I love that part of the country... for somebody who loves the outdoors, there's never any shortage of adventure, fun, or things to do. |

I would suggest the Ford Museum also. So many great things to see there.

+1 on Ford Museum. Also Crossroads Village in Flint is cool. Just don't drink the water.
http://www.geneseecountyparks.org/crvdefault.asp Now for the real fun: Since I used to live in Michigan and he is Korean, I would suggest for non-family activities, The Wild Mustang, BTs, the Silver Cricket on MI Ave, then cross the bridge and hit Jason's, Million $ Club. Bring lots of $1s and $20s

Where in MI are you? Any time I make it back there, I make a trip to Tony's. What's more American than steak sandwiches smothered in cheese and BLTs that have a pound of bacon?
