The rate for motorcycles is 72.34 per 100,000 registered motorcycles. Motorcycles also have a higher fatality rate per unit of distance travelled when compared with automobiles.) I'll take my chances in a car, rather than extremely exposed with your fate in the hands of everyone else. I just had a relative who rear-ended someone going about 30-40 on the highway while he was on his Honda streetbike. The way he flew off his bike, he would've been killed had it not been for his kevlar suit. Granted it was his fault, but that's not the point. If I rear-end someone in my car doing 30-40, I'll walk away with probably only a sore neck/legs and some scratches, and that's it.

Sorry if I'm rustling jimmies, but I don't care for bikes. Never have, never will. I can also do without their "I don't need to abide by the laws, so I'll just ride on the shoulder in this construction zone while everyone else waits in 5 miles of traffic" attitudes also.
Yes if you wreck on a bike you get hurt worse.
You are are still at a higher risk of dying in a car wreck.

Right now I ride a Triumph Street Triple which is a lot more fun in the curves than a Harley! Maybe when I get old I'll ride a Harley LOL!!!

Statistically for the general population, yes. But that includes a vast majority that don't ride motorcycles. So, for the sake of discussion, that's a moot point. It's fact, if you do ride a motorcycle, your odds of serious injury go up significantly.

Sorry for being a part of the off topic tangent. Here is the once upon a time Sportster 1200. Definitely enjoyed riding that thing around.

Yeah I watched the first episode . It's pretty good. Think it may be a tad spit shined , but hell it's TV. Getting ready to start the second one now.

Davidson was a little bit of a type "A" shyster.
