There are those who would transform the whole Country to be like Chicago or DC and brain wash the sheepal into thinking Gun Control will keep them safe, thus achieving their ultimate goal of Chaos everywhere.

Only way to keep it from getting political is to stick to the facts and history.

Facts:
1) When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have them.
2) Gun control is hitting your target, period.
3) Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it's mistakes.

History:
1) The greatest example in history of nationwide gun control... Mid-late 1930's Germany. Yep, that worked out REAL WELL.

Off Topic - Legalizing marijuana.
1) Legalize, standardize and tax the daylights out of it.
2) Revenue would go a long way to balance the budget.
3) People drink and get aggressive. People smoke and all that happens is they get tired and hungry.
4) Large scale case study - when is the last time Amsterdam declared war on anybody.

There is a very simple method of gun control that has not been tried.

Confiscate literally every gun currently out in the public and have the government replace those guns to each and every owner with a muzzle loader rifle or pistol.

Wouldn't have nearly the injuries or deaths with those kinds of guns.

I firmly believe that if there was a way to measure the toxicity level of someone, that marijuana would be legal in the US. Since there is no way to tell if someone has smoked 1 joint or out smoked Willie Nelson they won't make it legal. Fast: After 24 hours a person's motor skills are not back to the same level pre-smoking as they were after smoking 1 joint.

To make this happen other constitutional rights such as reasonable search and seizure would be violated because there is zero chance that everyone in America would turn in all of the guns that they own. Look at Australia, after they required all guns to be turned in their gun violence actually went up.

The reason that has not been tried is because confiscating "literally every gun currently out in the public" is completely and utterly impossible in this country. Not to mention as stated above, it violates several Constitutional rights.
