Actually, there are reports that the bypass valve/piston in the housing can free back up and return the oil circuit to normal all on its own.

Wait...another oil pump failure?

I mean...again?

Not to be a smart ass, but make sure you have the stock tires on there so they won't void your entire power train warranty when you bring it in.....again....

OUCH!

Yeah, I know...

Low blow...but hey, what do you expect when you the opportunity arises to make something right but fail to do so.

Yea, maybe we should be putting coyotes in our Camaros. At least Ford honors warranties. Luckily I had a 3rd party warranty to cover my 2nd LS3.

Seems the alarm goes off just when oil might be surging in the pan due to stopping on an incline Thoughts?
Your car was 1QT low so you added a half QT? Just asking.

Good question. Didn't want to risk over filling in case I read it wrong given the difficulty of seeing clean oil on the dimple portion of the stick.

Update 8/4/16 Changed oil today. 30min driving no problem mostly hiway. Exiting a fairly level off ramp about 40mph while still in 6th I had to come to quick stop -because some A-hole limo driver with NY plates (probably Mesheet Mydraws from Buttfuknstan ) must have realized he made a wrong turn and decides to stop on the ramp so I push the clutch in, no time to downshift, and apply the brakes ( no skiddding ), immediately the Dashlogic low Oil pressure <20psi display appears & chimes for 1-2 secs same as when qt low. Come to conclusion that only rpm and/or engine load% affect PSI not qty in pan
